A tag has been placed on Jůzova, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:13, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notes about the article[edit]

Hello. This is in response to your comments on the Talk page of the article you created: "This page does promote a business to some extent. However, there will be further edits applied to this page by the family. This page is of importance considering the family are a 5th generation family from a town in the Czech Republic. One family member was also the former Mayor, and recently re-elected Mayor. Moreover, other relatives are also politically involved in other major cities in the Czech Republic, one being a vice mayor. The family have survived the communist era, while one member was sent to a mining work camp refusing to accept communism in the Czech republic. The historical story will be updated soon to this page which is a very interesting read for the public."

My reply:

Hi. I understand you're starting on a family/business history project. It's a worthwhile goal, but there are some things you should be aware of if you intend for the result to be a Wikipedia article.
  1. This is English Wikipedia. Any article posted in another language is subject to deletion after two weeks if it isn't translated.
  2. An article should focus on its subject. It shouldn't go off in different directions. If the title of the article is the name of a business, then the article should be about the business, which probably means that it shouldn't discuss, for example, how one family member was sent to a mining work camp.
  3. The topics of Wikipedia articles must be "notable" as defined at WP:Notability. If the article is to be about the business, then the business should meet the general notability guidelines or the notability guidelines for businesses. If it's to be about the family, then the family should be notable in the way that, for example, the Barrymore family (an American acting dynasty) is notable.
  4. Articles on Wikipedia must be written with a neutral point of view. People are strongly advised against writing on topics where they have a conflict of interest.
  5. All content in a Wikipedia article must be verifiable. All information in it—especially information about people, particularly living people—should be traceable to reliable sources that are independent of the article's subject. References should be cited in the article. A compilation by a family constructed from their own recollections won't be a valid article for Wikipedia.
Let me know if you have any questions. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:21, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Another note: Though your edit summary says that you made the article more about family and less about the business: No, you didn't. It's all about products and prices. Even an article about a notable business shouldn't list its entire product line, it especially shouldn't be written by people from the business or be written in the first person ("we"), it shouldn't carry prices, etc. This is an encyclopedia, not a place for advertising. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:25, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
