Indiana Jones[edit]

Hi -

You removed my link from the Indiana Jones page. You stated that the site did not seem related, but the entire site is dedicated to archaeology so I am not sure why there is no connection?

User:Rjoebrandon

I'm just an editor, and sometimes I make mistakes when editing. After all, I'm only human. And sometimes I make a call which I perhaps should have left to someone else.
Therefore, I will leave a copy of this message, and your message, on the talk page of an admin.
When I get his answer, I'll implement whatever he suggests.
Yours sincerly,
Shinobu 17:54, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I've just had a look; I'm afraid that I agree with Shinobu on this. Links to archaeology sites are appropriate for archaeology artciles, not here — but this is in any case a commercial site, and the link should have in any case been removed as such. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:56, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I've also just looked at the image that you up-loaded, which seems to be a copyright violation; I've thus listed it at Wikipedia:Copyright problems#June 23. If you disagree with this, could you follow the directions on the template on the image? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 19:05, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ah, and I've discovered that the same sort of thing happened at Geronimo. I've removed the commercial link, and place a request for copyright information on the image. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 19:10, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

An image or media file you uploaded, Image:Geronimo director of homeland security 2.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

License tagging for Image:No Shoes With Bows.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:No Shoes With Bows.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:06, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

External links[edit]

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. No Intelligent Design As Science In The Science Class Room petition[edit]

has been deleted. This is an encyclopedia;that was a press release. You may find considerable support for adding relevent bits to Dissent from Darwinism or one of the Intelligent design articles, but please remember this is an Encyclopedia not MySpace. thanks - KillerChihuahua?!? 20:31, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you are who I think you are you may want to look at WP:AUTO. In general, it is considered problematic when editors edit about matters they were directly involved in, so be sure to make sure any edits you have are WP:NPOV and meet the consensus of the other editors on the page. In fact, it would probably be best if you proposed changes on the talk page before making them (if you aren't who I think you are, feel free to ignore this). AfD nomination of Edith Grove[edit]

I've nominated Edith Grove, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Edith Grove satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Edith Grove and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Edith Grove during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. CA387 21:53, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
