Tips for your article[edit]

Hi Ryan! I wanted to drop by with some suggestions on your article that you submitted, as per your request. Any further questions you might have, I encourage you to ask at the Teahouse! They generally can give you a quicker response than I. I also don't do Articles for Creation Reviews, so, I'm not the right person to ask about moving it through.

A few suggestions, and please take this as constructive criticism. It's meant to make you a better contributor :)

  1. Remove the bold text for Monarch Business and Wealth Management LLC.
  2. With the sentence that has "and authored "Winning Tax Strategies and Planning for Athletes and Entertainers," a book considered to be a leading resource within the business management profession." I'd remove "a book considered to be a leading resource within the business management profession." It reads too weasel-word like and would just end up being removed anyway by another Wikipedian. Just end it with the fact that he wrote the book with the citation showing that.
  3. In the sentence: "Klarberg has been presented with several awards throughout his career for his work in sports and entertainment, including being elected to the prestigous Sports Business Journal's "Forty Under 40."" Just state that he was awarded the Sports Business Journal's award. Without a citation, anyone can say they were awarded numerous awards, but without citations it is irrelevant. You're welcome to include some of the awards he's listed, but, no point in just stating he has been given some, it's not that valuable for the reader.
  4. You can probably remove that he has four children. There aren't any citations for that that you have used, and uncited content about living people will be removed. It's also not that important, unless one of his children is a very notable person.
  5. You refer to him as "Barry" in parts of the article. When writing biographies, you refer to people by their last name, so I'd change that.

Other than that it looks good! Great work! Sarah (talk) 21:31, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

FYI DYK![edit]

Hi there! Great work on the article, I'm impressed! I have actually nominated it to appear on the front page of Wikipedia in the DYK section. If all goes well, hopefully it'll end up there (people have to approve it!). Yay! Sarah (talk) 19:59, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:BarryKlarberg.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BarryKlarberg.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 20:47, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2012[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for July 17[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Barry Klarberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mike Miller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
