discord and paranoia

[edit]

My apologies. Truly, I was not trying to suggest I thought you might be a troll. I worded thigs that way to make a point, but (at least as far as you're concerned) in so doing so I have disrupted the project, something there's a fairly significant body of Wikipolicy verbiage mandating against. Dang. (But I can't blame you for your reaction.) --Steve Summit (talk) 18:07, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but its not just you. I had read on other boards about the prevalence of [I'm paraphrasing to fit what I wrote earlier] "discord and paranoia" under the surface of Wikipedia and it only took one or two posts to witness it for myself. It's maybe just the nature of the Wikipedia beast. I'm still very grateful to have been elevated to the position where I could finally submit my question to the reference desk. If my original post wasn't proof enough in itself of my sincerity, my question is now up at the science reference desk, so editors may go there and further judge my sincerity if desired.
