AfD nomination of Fluori-Methane

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Fluori-Methane. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fluori-Methane. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

A Question About Notability

Since you have helped me before about Notability I was wondering if you could help me again. I was working on an article for Die So Fluid but when I was going to check out how it looked, I noticed it had been created & deleted before. I, of course, think that they are notable. They have 3 members; 1 has his own 2 sentence article (maybe that should be deleted...). They have released 2 albums & a couple of EP's; their first was on the largest independent record label in the UK and the largest independent music management company in the world. They quit the label and created their own, which is one of the reasons I'm not sure about their notability. But on the other side, their singer & guitarist were in Feline which was on EMI. They have also had quite a bit of press coverage outside of America, including an album review by Kerrang! & Rock Sound. If their isn't enough information, their new website has scans of most (if not all) of their press releases. http://www.diesofluid.net/press.html

Oh & they just got signed to Demolition Records-Global Music Ltd Group (DR2).

Sounds like the page would arguably be about a notable band. The prior article may not have done a good job of showing their notability. The big thing is providing this information in the article. Provide reliable references and show why the subject is notable. For more info check WP:NOTE Rmosler | 19:07, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Correct formatting

What are you talking about? And how is it "unconstructive" The word itself is NOT in the dictionary, AND is NOT used in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gigasolus (talkcontribs) 23:33, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

I assume you are referring to this edit. Without citations or more content, your edit appeared dubious, or unconstructive. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/unconstructive http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unconstructive Rmosler | 23:49, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

?

Have you bothered to read the article? Oh good then you know that shooter called himself an atheist.

So what's the problem? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.143.3.201 (talk) 22:29, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

If you wish to tag the shooter that is appropriate. Events are not conscious entities capable of taking philosophical positions. Rmosler | 22:34, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Ok how do I go about doing that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.143.3.201 (talk) 22:36, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

As long as the shooter meets WP:NOTE then you could make a page for the shooter and tag that page. The point of tagging and categories is to be able to go to that category and see a compiled list of tagged pages in that category. It is not constructive to have events in a category listing persons who hold a belief. Rmosler | 22:43, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Article on Kishore Vagyanik Protsahan Yogana

Hi, I have seen your comment on the talk page of the article on Kishore Vagyanik Protsahan Yogana. You have said that it is a kind of advertisement and that it is not appropriate to give the contact information.

I would like to beg to differ as it is a Governmental Orgainsation under the Governement of India. It is a non-profit organisation and serves to encourage students to take reserch carrer. "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yogana" is a Hindi (language) sentence which means, "Commitee to encourage intelligent students to become scientists". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Poddarrishabh (talkcontribs) 11:23, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:45, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

XFX

I provided the number people can use that are having issues with their XFX cards. This is a useful edit because registration on the site doesn't often work because of bad programming and the phone number is no where to be found. But if you call the number they add you to the system manually and this gives you the ability to open an RMA request. It worked for me and they are replacing my card, which was also over a month out of warranty. This is a very useful edit, and it a place where XFX owners can find it easily. In the future it might be wise to do a little research (in this case searching the XFX site for a nonexistent technical support number) before simply removing an edit you do not find to be sufficient.

I do believe that you are editing in good faith, but please note Wikipedia is not a directory. Specifically:

We need your help testing latest huggle

Hello,

I am sending you this message because you listed yourself on meta:Huggle/Members as a beta tester. We desperately need attention of testers, because since we resolved all release blockers, we are ready to release first official version of huggle 3! Before that happens, it would be nice if you could test it so that we can make sure there are no issues with it. You can download it packaged for your operating system (see Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta) or you can of course build it yourself, see https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx for that. Don't forget to use always latest version, there is no auto-update message for beta versions!

Should you find any issue, please report it to wikimedia bugzilla, that is a central place for huggle bugs, where we look at them. That is i mportant, if you find a bug and won't report it, we can't fix it. Thank you for your work on this, if you have any questions, please send me a message on my talk page, I won't be looking for responses here. Thanks, Petrb (talk) 15:16, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Please, you know nothing about Benesch.

Greetings, Mr. R. Mosler.

I know that you are doing your job, however I strongly object to you saying that my work is "vandalism". I know Benny more than you, and you may stop acting like you know better than me, and that I know nothing. Just because you may have a degree in Bio. and whatnot, does not mean you tag someone's work as "vandalism", considering my knowledge (and your lack of) Benny. You have officially misused the word "vandalism".
However, I know that you are a nice man, (as you stated this on your page), and I am sure you are also a man of reason. I apologize for putting up my changes after I was told not to; I was confused and upset. However, I have realized that although you have the right to remove such un-sourced, un-verified content, (I have no where to find a source; it is nickname, not a written fact) I strongly suggest for you to consider what I said. After all, you know absolutely nothing about Benny, and I nearly lived with him throughout the Summer ( I traveled with him on the Junior Swarm team, and he was the coach; the other Swarm players who were also coaching called him “Benny”)
Along with that, the announcer for the Swarm games says, "Ryan Benny Benesch" when Benny runs onto the field during the "starting lineup" bit. If you would be so kind as to tell me how to source that, I would be glad to, but as of right now, I do not have a source on obvious personal experiences.
Also, I attend(ed) many camps and clinics with the Swarm, and before he was traded during the off-season last year, he, (along with many other Swarm players) would run the camps. They would always call him Benny, rarely "Benesch" and never "Bullet". (I have no idea where "The Bullet" nickname came from; if you could give me the source on THAT one...)
Hopefully, you will realize that on this occasion you were wrong about something you thought was "vandalism", although I clearly stated my experiences in which he was called Benny, from his teammates, to the announcer, to even the coaches. It's okay that you got this one wrong, as I know more about the Swarm and Benny more than most people do. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.171.219.233 (talk) 18:13, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Outline of Israel

The Outline of Israel article is biased. The notion that Israel has its roots in Ancient Israel is not clear and to state it as fact should not be done on an encyclopedia. 76.78.226.62 (talk) 04:44, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Using the word "dubious" in your edit (04:22, 11 April 2014) in Outline of Israel is an expression of doubt (see ALLEGED) that is a manner of attacking the words on the page rather than addressing what the words convey with reliable sources that support your position. This causes bias and does not help Wikipedia become better. Rmosler | 04:57, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

I´ll admit that edit was wrong of me, but it doesn´t change the fact that the article is biased. Promoting Israeli nationalist myth does not help Wikipedia either,

Vandalism of wiki page Dan Nainan

The page I created of comedian Dan Nainan has recently been vandalized content was removed and some poorly cited content added by an anonymous person who does not use a username and is known only by 108.18.189.230. This resulted in a additional citation for verification flag being put on the wiki page even though it has been previously approved.

I have undone some of the vandalism by clicking undo but some of what was removed it won't let me fix just by clicking undo. I will be doing this manually over the weekend.

The wiki page was originally locked and only open for editing by people with Wikipedia accounts recently this lock was removed and this vandalism occurred. Can you please lock the Dan Nainan wiki page to prevent additional vandalism.

Ayub Ommaya

Dear Rmosler, regarding the Ayub K Ommaya page, for some time a user who uses various IP addresses has been attempting to change the name of my deceased father. His name is in fact Ayub Ommaya. You'll note that all of his publications, and various webpages including his obituary in the Washington Post other newspapers and the Journal the Lancet all refer to his correct name. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fugu99 (talkcontribs) 03:31, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry to hear that. I had restored the edit because it is normally bad form to remove other editors comments from talk pages unless they are abusive, and I didn't see an edit summary to give me an idea of why the edit occurred. It is helpful to those of us who watch the recent changes if you provide an edit summary explaining what the reason for the edit was. Best wishes. Rmosler | 04:02, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

New huggle 3.1 is going to be released soon

Hi Rmosler2100, we are to release a new major version of huggle, but we did receive almost no feedback from our beta testing team, which you are a part of (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members). It would be of a great help if you could download it (if you have windows, all you need to do is getting http://tools.wmflabs.org/huggle/files/huggle3.1.0beta.exe and putting it to a folder where you have installed huggle) and test it. You can always get a help with making it @ #huggle connect!

Major changes:

  • Multisite support - you can now log in to unlimited number of wikis in 1 huggle session and get a huge queue of all edits made to these wikis. This is good for smaller projects which gets overlooked often.
  • Ranged diffs - you can select multiple revisions and get a huge diff that display all changes done to them.
  • Fixes of most of bug reports we had so far

In case you found a bug, please report it to bugzilla: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/buglist.cgi?product=Huggle&list_id=147663 thank you! Petrb (talk) 10:14, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Huggle message

Hey Rmosler2100! You are receiving this message because you are subscribed at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers

I have recently launched a new downloads for beta testers that contains nightly builds of huggle, eg. versions that are built every day from our master branch and contains latest huggle. These builds are currently provided only for Windows and Ubuntu. You can find them here: http://huggle.wmflabs.org/builds/

Please keep in mind that these don't have any automatic updates and if you download and start using nightly build, you will need to update it yourself! So don't get yourself to running old version, it's possible to install both stable and nightly huggle, which is what I suggest.

Keep the bug reports coming to phabricator: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/create/?projects=Huggle Many thanks! Petrb (talk) 10:01, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
