Stanton University

Hello Roasted brussel sprouts, welcome to Wikipedia. I can see you and Sungchul.ham have both been editing Stanton University. I have some questions for you if you don't mind:

Hello,

We are both associated at Stanton University. And I see the article "FAQ/Organizations" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations#Do_I_have_to_disclose_my_relationship_with_my_organization?) that discourages this action due to conflict of interest even though we had strived to create a fact-based neutral article.

Then may I ask how wikipedia articles are generated for small universities? Is there a legitimate resource to provide a neutral article? Would a student be able to edit an article?

At the very least, may we request for the Stanton University page not to feature the "#Redirect to Ellington University" as that is incorrect?

Hello Roasted brussel sprouts, thanks for your reply. There's a few things which you should know before editing further.
Firstly, Wikipedia would consider that both yourself and Sungchul.ham have a conflict of interest with Stanton University. You can read more about what that means and what you need to do here, as understanding this will prevent misunderstandings with Wikipedia's administrators: WP:PSCOI. You should also disclose this connection on your userpage, and you can do so by going here and writing what your connection is with the university. Sungchul.ham should do the same thing here. If you and Sungchul.ham both plan to continue to edit about the university or any other topic, then you should both also mention on your userpages that you are friends who are editing together.
Secondly, I want to remind both you and Sungchul.ham that for legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information.
Lastly, Wikipedia articles should summarize what independent, published, reliable sources have said about subjects in a neutral way, and this coverage for organisations (including universities) needs to talk about them in-depth; the article will need better sources or it might be deleted.
