Hello,
I have updated this to show that this data was NOT pulled directly and copy/pasted from the Wofford College website, as well as updated with several documents which I will continue adding to show of its originality and validity, as well as the fact that all of this information is completely and publicly available. Mr. Gregory was honored with the words shown through most of the Wofford article in a public Bill passed by the State of South Carolina House of Representatives, and the article on the Wofford website pulls almost all of its data from this Bill regarding Rob Gregory, JR.
Certainly I am more than happy to update any text, but I feel there are certainly no grounds to say that any of the information present in the article is copyrighted by any other news source. Furthermore, I have reached out and obtained expressed permission from the College to use any information present about Mr. Gregory in my own article. I have attempted to update the article, however it would not allow me to do so at this time. If you could please get back to me with how I can resolve the issues here and get the page on Mr Gregory published, I would greatly appreciate it, as I planned to do several more articles on former executives in the Apparel Industry.
Best,

See below. Expect Speedy deletion and start over. Paraphrase next time, or fail again. David notMD (talk) 22:15, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, thanks. I have already began to edit the article and have updated most of the wording that may have come into question. This is all public and should be updated sufficiently. I also have updated the picture which it seems was the main source of issue, with one I took with my mother at an event with Mr Gregory as the head speaker in 1997. Robegreg3 (talk) 22:26, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The picture was an issue but not the critical one. The copyright violation software still shows that enough of the text was copied verbatim from sources, and hence still at risk for Speedy deletion. That decision will rest with an Administrator. David notMD (talk) 02:35, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
I did not create this article in any form of conflict of interest. The name of my account is specically attributed to the man who I wrote the article about not understanding how this worked. I am happy to change my name to my real identity if needed to avoid any sort of issue.
My name is Logan Martin, of Chicago, IL and I have absolutely no relation whatsoever to the man I wrote it about. I respected his work in the apparel industry, particularly at the London Fog company and I intend on further updating this along with several other articles in the future regarding the apparel and fashion industry. I currently work in advertising here in Chicago. Please let me know how I can clear this up, so that my article may be approved.
Best,
Logan Martin Robegreg3 (talk) 21:29, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To reiterate, this was only my first attempt at a Wikipedia article, thus my confusion. I can happily provide evidence as well that I have no relation to the man, if needed through ID images, etc. Robegreg3 (talk) 21:35, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your statement here is sufficient to clear up that you have no personal connection to the subject of the draft. David notMD (talk) 22:08, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Expect Speedy deletion[edit]

Apparently, you copied content from a website. That is a copyright violation. Expect the entire draft to be deleted with no record of it having existed. You are welcome to try again, but all information must be paraphrased rather than copied. David notMD (talk) 22:12, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
