Information icon Hello, Robinzzz. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Please read this notification carefully, as it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

You are required to strictly adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, and the letter and spirit of the conflict of interest guideline. You are also required to cite reliable sources to support blockchain or cryptocurrency content you add. Cryptocurrency enthusiast websites, social media and the company's own website are not reliable sources. MER-C 04:48, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion of AI on Wikipedia?

[edit]

Hi @Robinzzz:,

It looks like you’ve been editing on Wikipedia for a while. Welcome! I’m a researcher working on Wikipedia algorithms and artificial intelligences (AIs). Maybe it seems a little random to hear from someone like me…if you’ve only been here for a little while, why would we care about your opinion?

You may or may not be aware of them, but the algorithms that operate on Wikipedia affect new editors like you in very important ways. Even if you’ve only made a few edits, we really need to understand how you feel about your initial experiences -- good or bad -- so that we can make sure that the AIs we build in the future do what users like you want them to do.

Would you consider talking with me briefly about AI on Wikipedia? I will send you a $15 Amazon gift card to say thanks. Reply to this message here or send me an email at smit3694@umn.edu and I can share more info and plan a time to connect.

Your draft article, Draft:PPIO

[edit]

Hello, Robinzzz. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "PPIO".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Mjs1991 (talk) 08:06, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
