Thank you for the Mott Willis Store pic. I didn't know it had been demolished when I visited there a few years back. Much better to have that photo than one of an empty lot. By any chance, do you know where to get some photos of the fish cabins in the area? I couldn't even find boat tours to them, which surprised me. Anyway, cheers.  :) --Ebyabe talk - State of the Union ‖ 13:25, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be fishing cabins on the Charlotte Harbor but over the years hurricanes have taken them out. I can't even think of one, but I'll ask around and if there's anything, I'll let you know. Rogueblack (talk) 13:44, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Check List of historic Fish Cabins of Charlotte Harbor, Florida for the locations. On Google satellite view, it looks like there are cabins at least at some of the locations. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if some were gone. They're kind of like Stiltsville. I'm always amazed that any old wooden buildings are still extant, much less ones in the middle of the water like those fish cabins.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General ‖ 15:42, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's very helpful! Thanks for that! I'll ask around and see what people know. It reminds me of the El Jobean Hotel and the mystery of why that's still standing, but I'm sure being braced in by all those trees and bushes has something to do with it. Have a great day and if I learn more about the fishing cabins, I'll drop you a note! :) Rogueblack (talk) 22:56, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
