Speedy deletion nomination of DECT Forum

A tag has been placed on DECT Forum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Cat-iq a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. DECT Forum / CAT-iq Articles

Good evening Tikiwont - Thanks for your comments so far. I am a new user of Wiki, correct. My goal here is to update the existing Cat-iq article, which is now correctly named CAT-iq. Secondly I am trying to add an artricle about DECT Forum - a non-profit organization similar to HGI or Bluetooth SIG etc. If I check the current articles on these 2 organization I am wondering the strict disagreement with my own attempt on the DECT Forum and CAT-iq. BTW there is no conflict of interest because the DF has collaboration agreements with most other organizations in the field of telecommunications such as HGI, Bluetooth, ETSI, ITU. I will do my best to improve my Wiki writing skills in the nearest future but I would appreciate very much are more constructive approach rather than simply delete any efforts. Well take your time, communication is important here. You need to be prepared as well for edits and articles to be scrutinized and at the same time for it not to happen where you'd expect it. I don't think I deleted any of your efforts, though. The COI advice was necessary as you're coming here with a specific goal and erred on the side of promotion, but you do not really seem to have taken it in, because your reply is a non sequitur which on the other hand seems to confirm the issue.--Tikiwont (talk) 22:13, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Massive WP:COI

Roland, as the media contact for the DECT Forum, you hold massive conflict of interest. Your continued re-creation of an article for a non-notable organization that you are the media contact for could quite possibly lead to a block. Wikipedia is not a business directory, and the DECT Forum is non-notable as an organization at this point, and the article is massively promotional, especially considering that you wrote it. BWilkins, thanks for review and comments, sorry for not replying earlier. I am again very much surprised about the way admins. of Wikipedia try to regard you as a "bad guy/girl" just because you are doing a job ... as marketing or PR or press/media person. Did you ever consider that someone is able to create a neutral article about an organizations even as employed status? No you cannot believe that. That is black 'n white thinking. I do not want to commercially promote the organization because it is a non-profit organization. I just want that it is mentioned in Wikipedia. I am currently trying to get the original sources of the foundation documents of the DECT Forum from the authorities in Berne. Switzerland. I am very open minded for any improvements (in particular since I am not a native English speaker) but I do not accept and will attack simple prejudices. Many thanks for listening. The fact that you continue to think that the article deserves to exist, even though the subject at this point fails notability guidelines unfortunately shows that you cannot think neutrally about the organization. Nobody is calling you a bad guy. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:08, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
