You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.  Kevin Gorman (talk) 06:52, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have not made any threats and neither have I taken legal action. I along with about 200 international signatories signed an online protest against child pornography at an independent Wikimedia country Chapter. The Government of that nation independently converted my protest into a police complaint and issued notices to the Chapter and the hosting co. Nothing to do with Wikipedia or WMF. In fact I want to join WMF as a Trustee so the question of my threatening WMF or any project does not arise and concocted by some male veteran editors who dislike Gender Gap Romana Busse (talk) 07:02, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is an encyclopedia, not a social - or legal - justice venue. I see nothing in this unblock request or, indeed, any of your comments anywhere, that indicates that you intend to build an encyclopedia in your time here. Until your legal actions are settled and you can present us with a plan of what articles you plan to constructively edit while staying away from personal attacks and legal threats, an unblock is not going to happen. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 14:42, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

RECORD / DISCLOSURE I am presently attending a seminar in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, and am using a Reliance 3G internet broadband dongle connected to my laptop in a wi-fi enabled NGO grass root FLOSS conference environment which is also enabled simultaneously. Romana Busse (talk) 07:07, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that conference etc feels about right to me, Sarbajit, given your background/real-life jobs etc. Why don't you just stop all of this nonsense? You are going to end up with an absolutely massive legal bill and it will likely be in US dollars, not rupees. - Sitush (talk) 07:12, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Romana: you made clear legal threats on gendergap-l. It's not customary to block off of what is said on mailing lists, but that combined with the fact that you sound like an IAC sock makes you perfectly blockable. Sitush: unless Romana's real name has been revealed on-wiki, please don't use what you think may be their real name. WP:OUTING doesn't really leave much room for wiggle room. Kevin Gorman (talk) 07:21, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Apologies. That was an honest mistake: confusing the two is easy when this crap has been going on for well over 18 months now. - Sitush (talk) 07:24, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I endorse this block. Any other account behaving in a similar manner should also be blocked, without discussion. Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:09, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is particularly offensive to use a false accusation of sexual harassment against Sitush. [1] This type of accusation, made on the pages of the Gender gap project, can only serve to de-legitimatize the GGTF and the seriousness of sexual harassment. It is exactly the type of thing we need to avoid if we're going to take the gender gap seriously. Thanks to all who indeffed this user so quickly. —Neotarf (talk) 04:02, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Probably worth noting that Romana sent me an email that although denying this account was his, but one that pretty much confirms beyond any doubt that the account that they admitted to having was a disingenious IAC sockpuppet (and frankly, I doubt this account isn't his as well.)
