Rufus Wainwright

[edit]

I reverted because the addition was too verbose, not just because of inaccuracy. However, YouTube does not meet the qualifications for a reliable source per Wikipedia standards. VanTucky (talk) 23:17, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression, i.e. that you have vet anything by me personally or that I am an authority figure on Wikipedia. I simply made the edit I felt was needed, and you asked about it. Thus, I explained why. For future reference though, using terms like "wikinazi" in a dispute is a violation of Wikipedia's policy against personal attacks, and may result in a block if done persistently. The general rule is that you may say anything you like about content, but making uncivil comments about contributors is a breach of etiquette. As for the "revert it at your whim" comment. It is a simple fact about the nature of Wikipedia that anyone can edit any contribution another user makes, and that if you can't handle having your contributions mercilessly edited and re-edited by others, then this is probably not the best environment for you.
