Inflated sales for Barrio Fino[edit]

Hi I noticed your edits to Barrio Fino, but I had to revert them because 8 million units is way to inflate it for an album that's only been certified only over a million copies. Also in regards to riaa, 600,000 units from the Latin certification is less than the standard 1 million so there is no need to change the US certification. Yes, I saw the sources, but where is Univision getting the 8 million sales from? The last reputable source has it at 2 million copies [1], so where is the extra 6 million coming from? Edit: Also want to add that record labels have a tendency to exaggerate sales.

And as for the Riaa cert:

Standard platinum= 1 million

6x Latin platinum (before 2013) = 600,000

Yes, I believe that was established at the beginning, but that doesn't answer my question. Latin album sales declined in the 2000s, for reference, Shakira's Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 sold 4 million copies, so how can Barrio Fino be double that when its total certified units don't come close to that? That's in the US only and it's only sold over a million copies (as noted by Nielsen SoundScan and already sourced in the article). That doesn't mean it sold 8 million elsewhere however.
