Welcome Rooivalk, Good to have more South Africans here, you can find a small group of us at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/South Africa. --Jcw69 16:42, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Babel attribute box

[edit]

Hi Rooivalk, I not sure how to make the lists appear only once in the categories. In the meanwhile until I find a way I will merge it back into the main page, what a pity. Thanks for the heads up.--Jcw69 13:58, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rooivalk, I replied on Jcw69's talk page with a possible solution to the problem, so if you're interested you can see it there. Btw, welcome to the Wiki, it's always great to have more S.Africans contributing. — Impi 19:49, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It works! Thanks Impi — Rooivalk 04:53, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Skeleton in a cave.

[edit]

Sorry, that's the only pic i have of it. However a quick look at this page tells me it is a wallaby (because i remember the tasmanian devil, but the pic i took of it didn't come out, and it was also much older than that skeleton). So there is your mystery solved for you. I will edit commons to reflect this info. The bellman 03:06, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New User:Instrument category

[edit]

Hi, I love your babel box. Did you make the category for Didgeridoo? I was wondering if you would be able to help me make a template for a clavichord, fortepiano, harpsichord, tangent piano (all of which I own and play), and, just for fun, add a "0" character to didgeridoo (for a friend)--that is, "does not know how to play a didgeridoo" and maybe even a "-1" category: "does not know what a didgeridoo is". New Instrument category abbreviation suggestions

[edit]

Here are some suggestions:

Tangent piano: TngP
Clavichord: Clav
Harpsichord: Hpch
Fortepiano: Fpno

None of these conflict with anything. If you could do the (-1) categories too, that would be great. It might look something like Fpno-(-1) This user does not even know what a fortepiano is. I think for Tngp-(-1) you could say This user does not believe in tangent pianos. Also, Clav-(-1) could say This user thinks clavichords suck. Thanks for the effort! Thank you for continuing my project of Populating the Wildlife of Africa category. It's really nice to see on Wikipedia how something one has created grows in the dedicated hands of others. I just have one question: I noticed that you added some articles, such as Addax, to the Africa category in addition to the geographical subcategory. Usually people don't include an article in a category when it's already in a direct subcategory. Not sure if this is a policy, though, since I couldn't find anything about it. Also, I had originally planned to create more geographical subcategories for Africa, but this proved difficult (and, in the case of Category:Wildlife of the Sahara, there turned out to be fewer articles than I expected - see Category_talk:Wildlife_of_the_Sahara). So what do you think about geographical subcategories? Common Man 21:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
