A tag has been placed on WebWed Mobile, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:24, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Seraphimblade: @Bri:

Hello!

Thank you for noting that my page needed major changes. This was my first Wikipedia article and I now see how this seemed to be advertising. I completely rewrote my write up on WebWed Mobile. I think it may be better as a stub. I am planning on recreating the page as a stub without the advertising tone it had before; however, a notice came up saying I needed to contact the editor who took the page down prior to re-creating it. Please notify me when I can move forward. Thank you.

I am a sophomore PR student who is creating WebWed's Wikipedia page as a part of my summer internship. My goal was to create a non-bias page for them and the stipend I will receive will not affect this

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Seraphimblade Talk to me 04:49, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have received your email. As there is nothing in it which indicates any need to handle privately, I will reply here. (Note that you can edit this talk page even while blocked, and can ping me if you leave a message or reply intended for me here. I will also have the page on watch.) That being said, I want to be very clear: Paid editors are absolutely expected not to become a time sink on volunteers by needing their hand held. So no, I will not be doing that. If you are going to edit for pay, it is your responsibility to know how to do so properly. With disclosure, paid editing is tolerated. It is not liked or encouraged. Hi, thank you for reading my note; however, I need to be more clear on something. I am not a paid professional Wikipedia writer. I only put that notice on my page because I'm doing a paid internship throughout the summer that includes a variety of projects, not just this Wikipedia page. I am a rising sophomore in college studying public relations. My first project was to create a non-bias Wikipedia page as many other businesses have them on your site. This is the very first time I am creating an article and I have only done 10 or some grammatical edits on other articles. I am very new to this process but I really want to learn how to do this well so that I can create other Wikipedia pages well in the future. I would really appreciate your input on my piece; however, if you cannot give any input to my piece I'd appreciate it if you could refer me to someone who can. Thank you once again. Rorygilmore8, your disclosure states you are paid by WebWed Mobile, I assume this is for your internship. You then are a paid Wikipedia writer, whether you consider yourself a "professional" or a student. It makes no difference to the rest of Wikipedia, you are squarely in the WP:PAID category. Many of us prefer not to assist paid editors with our unpaid time. You really should stop asking. ☆ Bri (talk) 17:32, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Bri is quite correct. Being asked or expected to edit Wikipedia as a duty of employment or internship is most certainly considered paid editing. And yes, we do have articles about companies, but they are one of the most closely watched and strictly enforced for promotional activity, puff, and PR, which we do not permit. And many (indeed most) companies are not suitable subjects for an article at all. But when being directed to edit for pay or other consideration, it is very difficult to remain neutral and creates an inherent conflict of interest. That is the reason for the requirement that edits and new articles be reviewed by those without such a conflict. Seraphimblade Talk to me 17:43, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, thank you for this information. I want to learn the proper process to submit an article that you all respect. According to [[1]] it states that those who Wikipedia deems have a conflict of interest should submit their articles to this platform. If you all allow me to I would love to submit the WebWed stud here to learn how to do Wikipedia articles much better; however, I am currently blocked. I am sorry for my questions but I greatly appreciate you all reading this. Thank you and I hope you and your families are safe and healthy during this time. Rorygilmore8 (talk) 18:32, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you are currently blocked for repeatedly violating the conflict of interest and promotion policies. The only way I would unblock you is if you would agree to refrain from any edits regarding WebWed Mobile. If you have no other interest here, your edits in regard to that subject have been entirely inappropriate, so you will not be unblocked to continue that.
