Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Konkani Dictionary, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. If you plan to provide more notable material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Konkani Dictionary. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material.Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 23:36, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please desist form adding useless links to personal web pages. With regard to your work on savemylanguage.com, I appreciate your efforts for Konkani. But, please understand that there are multiple dictionaries for Konkani online, yours is not the only one. The extarnal links are meant to point to academic articles, not your favourite pages. I will not remove your link form the Konkani language page this time, but if you do not follow the guidlines I will be forced to do so

  • I am not the only one to point to this aspect. I was surprised that someone else has already made a similar comment about you. Like I said , there are many other Konkani dicitonaries online. Just think if everyone insists on a "me too". Hell, even I would like to add a few of my own links! Every language has a dictioianry. No dictionary is listed in the English page. Check the guidlines in Wikipedia:External_links

  • Considering your enthusiasm for Dicitionaries, I would suggest, rather, request that you contribute to the Konkani Wikipedia which is in the test stage. The link is here:

Looking forward to your contribution to making the Konkani Wikipedia a success. देव बोरो दीस दिउं। Deepak D'Souza 12:30, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
