Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Rovshani, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that your first contributions (to the article Stroke Belt) were to tell about a research paper that may have been written by you. I have reverted your additions (don't worry; they are still in the article history for that page) for several reasons. This paper is published in a non-peer-reviewed scientific journal (Medical Hypotheses) and there is no indication that the hypothesis has been received attention by secondary sources; Wikipedia avoids relying directly on primary sources and non-peer-reviewed scientific journals (see this page for more information). Additionally, Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion, and we contributors are cautioned not to write about ourselves or topics about which we may have a conflict of interest.

Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself and your work, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --Orlady (talk) 14:53, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
