Whittier, California

[edit]

Thank you for your message on my talk page. You likely added that Whittier is "a highly desirable affluent neighborhood" because, as you stated on my talk page, "I added to "neighborhoods" to better describe some areas in the city of whittier which I have sold real estate in for over 20 years". Please don't puff up Wikipedia articles for your own financial benefit. Take a moment to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Please stop now or I'll report you. Thanks. Please note that per our core policy WP:V, nothing comes from any editor's personal knowledge. All information must come from published reliable sources. Additionally, we try to stay away from subjective words like affluent and poor, as they represent someone's conclusion and may have different meanings to different people. If you can cite a reliable source for income demographics for the neighborhood, you can add those and let the readers draw their own conclusions. Please note that real estate websites are not reliable sources, for the same reason you, a real estate salesperson adding the term affluent is a conflict of interest. Since your income is directly related to the value of property, anything that may make property appear to be worth more (such as referring to a neighborhood as affluent on one of the most read websites in the world) is an obvious conflict of interest. If you can't understand that, I don't know what to tell you. John from Idegon (talk) 17:30, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent message on my talk page was deleted unread. Obviously you don't know that new messages go at the bottom of the page, although perhaps you could have inferred that from the way experienced editors have posted on this page. What I am sure you do know is how to communicate in English. Seriously, do you write to your clients or superiors like that? Then don't communicate with your fellow editors on Wikipedia like that. I'll leave you some links to help you figure it out. After reading some of them, if you can phrase a question in English I'll be happy to answer. Seriously, Sam. At the end of the day, editing an encyclopedia is a writing exercise. If you cannot structure a sentence properly, you have no business doing this. Goodbye. John from Idegon (talk) 20:44, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
