It's vs. Its[edit]

Hi. Please see this page, which says:

  • Its, without an apostrophe, is the possessive of the pronoun, it.
  • It’s, with an apostrophe, is a contraction of it is or it has.

Thanks --Jennica / talk 10:27, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, RullRatbwan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The formatting of this talk page[edit]

Hi RullRatbwan, just FYI, I fixed the formatting at the top of this page. The many <big> tags made the text at the top so large that it covered the tabs at the top (and indeed most of the page), at least in my browser. Also note that the tags must be closed (which is not done with "small" tags, but with closing tags, </big>). Anyway, there is no reason to use multiple "big" tags - if somebody should come here only to vandalise, gigantic letters that cover the entire top of the page are not going to stop them, and other users might be put off by what looks like loud shouting. Remember that it is much, much more likely that the people who come here to communicate with you are good-faith editors, than that they are vandals.

I also removed the "big" tags from your signature. Please don't do that, it makes the page harder to read. Regards --bonadea contributions talk 11:17, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unautoblock[edit]

This user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Buttcheeks the size and weight of bowling balls". The reason given for Buttcheeks the size and weight of bowling balls is; Vandalism-only account

Accept reason: That looks accurate. I have lifted the autoblock. While your school continues to allow attacks on Wikipedia, I'm afraid you may suffer further occasional autoblocks. Yamla (talk) 11:39, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am in no relation with that user. This is a school network, and I haven't done anything wrong. RullRatbwan (talk) 07:38, 5 July 2017 (UTC

Unblock[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

RullRatbwan (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

A: I'm not even on the same IP as SamRathbone, B: I'm good faith and not a sock. RullRatbwan (talk) 14:10, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

A: Yes you are. Checkuser verified abuser of multiple accounts. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:45, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Oppose I'm just had to go through all RullRatbwan's (does that sound like another name?) edits and revert most of them, under WP:COMPETENCE. They are a fairly obvious sock of SamRathbone (talk · contribs) from the editing overlaps. I can't see IP logs, but if RullRatbwan claims they're different, I'd ask how they know this.
An editor who even knows what an IP address is, and yet edits as badly and disruptively as RullRatbwan does, is WP:NOTHERE. Andy Dingley (talk) 14:15, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Or...they could just still be a student and have a good past education. Get real. RullRatbwan (talk) 12:00, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And a wide-ranging IP block on the whole school would be just wonderful. Real editors have better things to do than continually emptying the litter tray. Andy Dingley (talk) 14:16, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Only ,please unblock User:Rocket turtle...[edit]

Hi @Only...

I respect DoRD's decision to block RullRatbwan, yet I know User:Rocket turtle, and he has no connection with RR whatsoever. I really think he deserves an unblock as he has done nothing wrong; they just happened to be on the same school IP address at the same time, and just because that coincidence existed, doesn't mean in any way the two are connected. Please get back asap as I really want this matter considered by the Wikipedia community, and I want this issue resolved.

Thanks, TickTockOnTheClock (u wot?) (chat to moi) (stalk me) 17:53, 1st April 2018 (UTC)
