Speedy deletion of Taichung E card[edit]

A tag has been placed on Taichung E card, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 21:27, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If only we could place a tag for speedy deletion of this user...I have never seen him/her make constructive edits, all they do is make articles with no facts, no structure, they all just seem to be promoting their subject matter, when they are even comprehendable.Zell65 (talk) 21:42, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from 日月潭, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Anshuk (talk) 10:00, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fast page creation[edit]

Please don't create so many new pages in such a short time, or request a bot flag if you need to do so. Otherwise it clogs up the recent changes and new pages list. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 10:30, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

firefox plugin[edit]

So I'm guessing you have a firefox plugin which allows you to make a lot of wikipedia pages quickly. I think you may have it misconfigured though because each page you make contains this line:

Mozilla Firefox 3 is most great browser ever and easy to use, easy to expand function by installing plug-in.

I don't know what the plugin is, but you may want to check it's functionality so that the little advertisement isn't there. --Bachrach44 (talk) 13:58, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 15:31, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Please stop inserting advertising or unrelated content into articles. It is considered spam and will be rolled back or deleted. Protonk (talk) 15:31, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. Thank you for your article contributions, but I'd just as soon prefer it if we didn't have the little Firefox ads in there. – Luna Santin (talk) 19:27, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Caoling[edit]

Please stop inserting large amounts of Japanese text into an English encyclopedia. Enigma message 05:08, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have asked Enigmaman to recheck his last revert. And I apologize for the unintended insult regarding 'Japanese'. Dui bu qi. Shenme (talk) 05:29, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I placed it in userspace[edit]

User:RushdimIDlike/Caoling Please work on translating the article there. The way it currently is is not in remotely comprehensible English, and is thus not suitable to be the mainspace. Once you have a version written in English, feel free to transfer it back to the mainspace article. Thank you, Enigma message 05:19, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Caoling Warning[edit]

RushdimIDlike you have been asked not to return non-sensible material at Caoling and have now been assisted with a user-space page for translation. It appears that you are attempting some original research in the form of a translation of material - however doing that on the mainspace article page is inappropriate and will not be tolerated again. Towards that point I want you to clearly understand the following should you return this material to this page:
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --VS talk 06:19, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Binsui Line[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Binsui Line requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 15:40, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for returning to insert unintelligible material immediately after previous block for similar behaviour. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. --VS talk 23:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I will also add that if you return to continue this behaviour after this block it will appear that you are disrupting with the purpose of being a vandalism only account. If that is the case your next blocking will be indefinite.--VS talk 23:42, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
disrupting? I'm inserting contents from Chinese version, and there's already in translation. Are you understand that content from Taiwan? Wikipedia is not writing for few elites or cleanism to read. do not only to delete the content only because you are "BuShuang"
  • No-one is in a "bad mood". This is the English Wikipedia and requires that content (except for small insertions which are then translated) are in English. You have been placing large quantities of non-English material into the body of articles - and often in a format that is unintelligible to English speakers. That has nothing to do with elitism but everything to do with creating an encyclopedia that meets the needs of our English readers. For the type of material that you are interested in entering please log on here and go to your heart's content. Alternatively come back here after your block and add more chinese or unintelligible material - this will result in your indefinite blocking. 再見暫時 --VS talk 04:26, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Japan Railway Administration listed at RfD[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Japan Railway Administration. Since you had some involvement with the Japan Railway Administration redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Note[edit]

Just so you know - you should never sign your name after making an edit to an article. This is because any given article can have dozens, or even hundreds, of individual editors, and if everyone signed, then the article would quickly become an illegible mess of signatures. Information as to who made which edit is automatically tracked, and is available in the article history.

Conversely, you should always sign the messages you leave on article discussion pages or on user talk pages.

No harm done - this is just so you know. DS (talk) 17:17, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Hwa-tung Line[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hwa-tung Line, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. —Politizer talk/contribs 16:49, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
