Hilliard, Ohio External Links

Hi Rwalker. I am not sure how to reach out to you - so my apologies if this is the wrong format (feel free to let me know how it would be appropriate). You edited Hilliard, Ohio's external link to CentralOhioEntrepreneurs.org - I would like to hear your thoughts about why you didn't think it was a relevant external link for the city of Hilliard. CentralOhioEntrepreneurs.org is a regional resource, and it includes resources relevant to Hilliard's small business community. CentralOhioEntrepreneurs.org is a resource for Hilliard and has links to small business resources available in Hilliard. Thanks, Amccollum (talk) 21:31, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! Linking to CentralOhioEntrepreneurs.org may be a resource for the region but not Hilliard specifically. Perhaps that link would be better placed on the Franklin County, Ohio page. However, seeing as you work for CentralOhioEntrepreneurs.org, it would be a conflict of interests to do so. Looking at your contributions, it looks as if you've already added it to many pages. I suggest you remove it to avoid the conflict. Rwalker (talk) 21:43, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! And thank you for the link to the conflict of interest page -I'm going to review it & proceed as appropriate. I really appreciate your help. Amccollum (talk) 21:52, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:53, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Miami Vice, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Srobak (talk) 16:20, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

How can I change the title? Robert 15:47, 27 August 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robert the Devil (talkcontribs)

To rename a page, you'll need to "move" it to another page, changing the title. Rwalker (talk) 17:23, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to List of Tom Sawyer characters: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:56, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
