KDSJ
[edit]Please do not use wikipedia for advertising (WP:NOADS) as you did on KDSJ. Also, as you appear to be affiliated with the radio station, you've effectively created a conflict of interest. Your edits broke the formatting of the article, inserted original research and will be reverted. ḾỊḼʘɴίcả • Talk • I DX for fun! 03:52, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to KDSJ, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Hello, I'm Milonica. I noticed that you recently removed content from KDSJ without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Removing sources, links, and introducing original research as mentioned. ḾỊḼʘɴίcả • Talk • I DX for fun! 04:02, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Hello, RyanRReider7795. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page KDSJ, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2604:2000:8FC0:4:68BA:3B32:8613:8B6D (talk) 04:39, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Your addition to KDSJ has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. --2604:2000:8FC0:4:68BA:3B32:8613:8B6D (talk) 04:54, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Finding help
[edit]I know all the semi-automated warnings can be a little intimidating, and we welcome anyone who is trying to contribute in good faith. However, your edits thus far have not been helpful, I encourage you to begin discussing any issues you have either here or at the WP:TEAhouse, thank you. 2604:2000:8FC0:4:68BA:3B32:8613:8B6D (talk) 04:50, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
I apologize
[edit]I apologize. I do, indeed work at KDSJ radio. I just happened to notice there is some incorrect information on there. The owners are Loren, Pace, and Renee Maier and Scott Jensen. Not the Jensen family. I didn't realize that we couldn't write about ourselves.
Ryan
- That's fine, it's an easy mistake to make, and Wikipedia can be very intimidating to newbies particularly if you get started off on the wrong foot, I encourage you to start asking questions at the WP:TEAHOUSE and to try-out the WP:The Wikipedia Adventure, just follow the links, you are allowed to request changes to KDSJ by placing a {{Request edit}} on Talk:KDSJ, which I encourage you to do, in the meantime, happy editing. 2604:2000:8FC0:4:68BA:3B32:8613:8B6D (talk) 15:52, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
