Hi, Ryleth777. I see you beat me to starting the Angel Guts article. (I just started one on director Chusei Sone.) There's probably enough information about each film out there for individual articles, and I have a few poster images which will help those out. But having an article for the whole series is a good idea too. I've added some and moved the article to the all-caps title. Hope you don't mind, and looking forward to working on the articles. Happy editing! Dekkappai 22:57, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, Ryleth777. Thanks for the message. As far as tips, I've edited in the general subject area (Japanese erotic cinema) for a while now, and the main piece of advice I'd give you is to make sure you have sources before starting an article. There are people out there who just love to delete this kind of stuff, and the best shield against losing an article is having plenty of sources. (I see that your articles are all sourced, so you're off to an excellent start.) One other minor piece of advice would be to make sure you sign comments on talk pages by typing four tildes: "~~~~" at the end of your message. That will produce your user name and time and date stamp. Feel free to ask me for advice any time. I'm not the most experienced or knowledgable guy here, but I can probably point you to someone who has an answer if I don't have one.
I came across your Violated Angels article and added a little to that today. I've done a little work on the Koji Wakamatsu article in the past, but there's a lot more that can be added there. Several more major Wakamatsu films need articles too... I've been away from editing for a little while and am glad to see a new editor interested in these subjects. Looking forward to working with you in the future. Dekkappai 23:42, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like that was just a simple high-school kid vandal wasting time. Easily reverted. I've got it on my watch list though in case it continues. Cheers. Dekkappai 16:44, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject templates[edit]

Please {{transclude}} WikiProject templates, not substitute them. Thanks. --

A tag has been placed on The Naked Lens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Naked Lens[edit]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Naked Lens, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?

AfD nomination of Hollywood Hex[edit]

I have nominated Hollywood Hex, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hollywood Hex. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Hi, Ryleth777. I noticed your article on Hollywood Hex had been put up for deletion, and you don't seem to be active at the moment. I did a little work on it, but in the event it gets deleted anyway, I've saved it HERE. Feel free to copy it out and mess with it if you want. Regards. P.S. Aw Christ-- I see someone screwed up the templates above this message, and Naked Lens was deleted. I have the book, and could have easily sourced it. Don't feel up to it now though... This is the reason I've retired-- "editors" who would rather delete other people's work than to improve them... Dekkappai (talk) 02:18, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My pleasure, Ryleth... My activities in sourcing and saving these and other articles on the AfD chopping block convinced me that many articles are being lost here just because people don't take the time to work on them. Deleting is so much easier... That, and other things, have drained a lot of my enthusiasm for working here. I'm back part-time, but I'm giving a smaller, subject-specific Wiki-like project much more attention. And that project now has better-sourced, more extensive articles than Wikipedia on several fairly mainstream subjects. That's what the Wiki-community gets for driving away contributors :) Dekkappai (talk) 17:53, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Ryleth777! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 940 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
