The above instructions are not clear.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 08:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

(Don't worry about the instructions, that's just for users blocked because of Wikipedia:Autoblocks or because of their IP address.) I'm declining your unblock request, because this is a short-term, temporary block: you will automatically be unblocked at 04:17 1 September 2006 (UTC). You can have another chance to edit constructively when your block expires, in less than a day. Mangojuicetalk 14:22, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Unless by some strange reason that you felt that you needed to leave me a message in my archives, you could have just left me a message on my talk page. Ryūlóng 08:10, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

I thought this was a talk page? Most Wiki users have individualized pages, thus what preferences they want for posting messages are not immediately clear.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 08:11, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, you editted my first archive for September instead of my normal talk page. That was just really strange. And I understand you had a bad day when you were suddenly blocked. Can't sleep... does have an extensive block log, and he did try to contact you, but didn't really give you any sort of warnings. Now you know how to link categories (and images) correctly, and won't blow a gasket when you somehow add yourself to a category like Category:Civil War.
Now, onto subcategories; usually, articles are not placed into both a parent category and a subcategory. Sure, someone is from Memphis, and they are also from Tennessee, but "People from Memphis" is probably a subcategory of "People from Tennessee", which is what I tried to bring up to you the other day. Yes, someone like Jeanne Calment is a Supercentenarian first and a French Supercentenarian second, it is just that it is easier to find her name under the category of French Supercentenarians, than in the list of all of the Supercentenarians. There are just redundancies when a page is listed in a category that is a subcategory and in the parent category of that subcategory. Hell, it's redundant just trying to write about it.
I wish you luck in your future Wikipedia ventures. Oh, and you might want to fix your signature. "yak" and "talk" lead to the talk page and contributions of User:RYoung, not User:Ryoung122 (your current username). Ryūlóng 08:25, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I've fixed the barnstar issue, and I would suggest trying to talk to him and tell him what you told me. Also, please try to fix your signature. It doesn't link correctly. Ryūlóng 21:15, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
