Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Ryu Kaze/Archive1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Deckiller 04:04, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Just now noticed this, but the thought's appreciated nonetheless. Ryu Kaze 03:19, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I understand what you're trying to do, but you made a lot of subsequent edits to the List of Final Fantasy VII locations article and then left the images looking a disaster. Please don't save a page if you're trying something out. Please use the show preview button on the edit screen to see what a page would look like with your edits. Alternatively, move the article contents to your sandbox and edit it there! Oh and as I have forgotten to do this, welcome to WikiProject Final Fantasy! — CuaHL 01:49, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome.
As for the images, I actually didn't alter any of them except for the Midgar images, and that was after someone else had already changed the layout of the others. Granted, I think what they did looks better than how it originally was, but it did screw up the formatting of the Midgar images and I had to spend a while fixing that.
How do the images look on your screen? Mine's a 600x800 monitor set to the 1024x768 ratio and they look really really good on this setup. Is it okay to take screenshots of Wikipedia pages or is that frowned upon? Ryu Kaze 04:09, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No I do it all the time — CuaHL 01:08, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Attaboy[edit]

Since you never did a user page I had to do one for you <grin> Renmiri 00:15, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ren. XD You rock. Ryu Kaze 00:18, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looking good, and sorry[edit]

Hey, just wanted to say that it looks like you've settled into the 'pedia quite well. I didn't mean to be rude when I said you were rushing decisions, and I realised my comment was a bit harsh sounding when I next read it. I didn't mean to be abrupt, I was just suggesting taking at least a week - maybe two - so editors don't feel excluded. We have editors in WPFF who can't edit daily, or can't check messages more than once a week, so rushed decisions isolate them from the Project. I must admit, I'm trying to generate a greater involvement in the project too. Anyways, take your time, but don't slow down too much. You're opinions and edits have been a great help lately. — CuaHL 01:08, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FFX-2 edits[edit]

Nice job merging Shuyin's profile into the page on FFX-2 characters. The original page really needed to be condensed and cleaned up. Finduilas 09

Thanks a lot. Glad the changes are approved. Ryu Kaze 23:46, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikibooks[edit]

Of course! I need all the help I can get. Come right over please. <grin> Renmiri 20:32, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help w/ Japanese[edit]

Can you check my pitiful attempts at kanji here ? Txs! Renmiri 04:04, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hey man[edit]

I'm leaving Spira for good, but I think I'll stay with the Final Fantasy Project after a small Wiki Vacation. And you're right it is the worrying that gets to me. Ever since I created Spira on October 17, 2004, I've been worrying about people editing it. Most of the people who contributed did a good job, such JarlaxleArtemis and yourself. People like Nnfolz and his friend Joelito who come in talking about making big changes (without truly discussing it) and saying they can do whatever the hell they want because, after all, this is Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! And it's true, they can do whatever the hell they want, and I can't truly stop them. I can only wave my arms and yell, hoping they'll go away. It's worked fairly well in the past, at the expense of making myself look like a total asshole. Which is what was happening last night. I was about one step away from violating WP:DICK, and I knew I had to stop before I did something stupid, or at least, more stupid than what I was doing.

So, I quit, for everyone else's good, and mine. I've spent far too much energy worrying about the integrity of the article, and it was killing me inside, so I'm not going to worry about it at all anymore. I won't challenge or revert any edits, or even comment on the talk page. Whatever happens, happens. I will just watch. To be honest, it feels kind of freeing, in a way. Perhaps the article really will become better without my shadow hanging over it. And now nobody else will have to deal with my angry outbursts, because in the end, I really don't have the maturity or self-control to contain my anger for long. It's like a grenade with a 1 second fuse! Nobody wants to deal with that!

So, in the end, I suppose I could say I'm leaving because I simply can't overcome my own cognitive dissonance concerning "ownership" of the article.PiccoloNamek 16:42, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Yo[edit]

I feel great. I'm not angry any more, but I'm still not coming back to Spira. I will remain with the Final Fantasy Wikiproject, though. It feels so good to not care about it any more, it was causing me so much stress. I can't say I'm happy about the situation, but whatever happens, happens. Shikata ga nai, right?PiccoloNamek 18:03, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem[edit]

Let's just forget about the whole deal and make the article better. c-u around.Nnfolz 20:34, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Litle girls[edit]

  • Mine are 2 and 7, plus I have a 5 year old boy. [Edit by Ryu: Got it]. Aren't kids the coolest ?
I'm so happy there are other parents who like FFX! Sometime I feel like people think I'm a retard for playing videogames w/ my kids, but we all enjoy it, so I don't care (much) about what others think... Renmiri 17:04, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • PS: What was the deal w/ Piccolo and Spira ? Renmiri 17:04, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, do you have some time to discuss FFX mythology ?[edit]

We seem to be butting heads at a forum I'm in bout how Dream Zaarkand works. So if you're in the mood and have the patience, would you mind giving us your 2 cents (or adding it to my talk page if you don't want to "talk" to the others on my forum) about the mechanics of Dream Zanarkand ? Here's the thread w/ the questions Renmiri 21:56, 17 March 2006 (UTC) http://ffproject.intense-host.net/viewtopic.php?t=331&highlight=[reply]

Thanks a million, that cleared up a lot!
PS: That forum is pretty small but there is another forum we all hang out where people enjoy discussing mythology and FF in depth, it even has an (unused) Wiki. If you are ever in the mood for a forum, stop by http://forums.eyesonff.com/ Renmiri 04:26, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

Yeah, feel free to work on those, and I can give you a hand. I've been quite busy, but we can make it a collaboration. Deckiller 23:46, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FF8 story[edit]

Hi! Excellent work on the story summary! As I mentioned on the FF8 article talk page, there are a couple of little things I would change, and I've taken the liberty of making an alteration to the article in your sandbox just to show what I was thinking of. Of course, revert/reword/edit as you see fit =) >Gamemaker 16:28, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll followup on the main talk page so that others can participate... >Gamemaker 17:20, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good; I'm going to proceed and trim it by about 20-30 percent to about the size of the FFIV-FFIX summaries. Most of the stuff that can be trimmed involves character development (that can go into the character section/pages for respective characters). Deckiller 21:39, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: Concerning punctuation[edit]

Hiya. I'm not sure about it being a Wiki convention, it's just a general punctuation standard - as I've always known it, anyway. The commas in the relevant cases belong to the sentence, not to the article being quoted, therefore they belong outside the quotemarks. >Gamemaker 14:44, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, I'm English (like it says on my talk page ;) ), and ashamed to admit I wasn't aware of this particular cultural difference - it's not something I've ever seen outside of informal writing on the net, but I just had a quick read up on it. In cases such as those in the FFVIII article I suppose it doesn't really matter; as a compromise I'll try and restict my knee-jerk reactions to quoted dialogue in future =) >Gamemaker 15:28, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there[edit]

Sorry if I'm being too personal, but what kind of literature teacher are you? High school general english teacher? ^_^ it's cool to have some teachers on here. — Deckiller 00:41, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that's awesome. Ever read the play The Doll's House? We're reading that right now in my Senior English honors class ^_^ — Deckiller 01:42, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool; I wouldn't mind having you as a teacher =P — Deckiller 01:53, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Magic page[edit]

Hey, I've worked on the sandbox page a bit; I think it's ready to go. We can merge the summon magic into the page at a later date. — Deckiller 21:36, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Outstanding work with the Final Fantasy project! — Deckiller 22:04, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FFX timeline[edit]

Wow, it's great, Txs! Sorry for the late response, I was out on vacation: Took my kids to see Grandma on Florida

BTW, are you working on a timeline for FFX / X2 ? If so, the Illustrated guide at Wikibooks would be proud to host a version of it, if you allow it <grin>

Really ? Ultimania ? Do you have the page ? My friend and I have a bet and it looks like I'm going to loose it... But I want to show him the page. Renmiri 06:59, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aurons Ghost and I (on that small Forum I'm a mod) keep butting heads about this. I will probably have to spend a week with "AG is the king" or some silly thing like that in my sig. Darn it! <grin> Renmiri 21:22, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Probably not that bad. But AG will be insufferable for a week! (roll eyes) Renmiri 00:08, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, on that place I told you look at movie 4 on the 2FFX folder. Can that movie help us get pictures for the FF locations we still need to improve with images ? If yes, I can post it on a place y'all can get screenshots. Renmiri 00:12, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AIM[edit]

This might sound personal, but do you have an AOL/AIM account? I'd like to IM you if possible. Thanks! — Deckiller 22:49, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Xenosaga[edit]

The plot of Xenosaga puts anything you teach or anything Final Fantasy related to shame :) :) :) I love the plot, it's such an awesome story. It's 24 meets Star Trek meets Xenogears. — Deckiller 02:19, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your work....[edit]

...is amazing :) You've inspired me to improve the Xenosaga prose :) — Deckiller 16:07, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The wording is so-so, because fans have come in and added lots of information and speculation. I'm working on List of organizations in Xenosaga as we speak :) — Deckiller 16:34, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

I agree with Deck (see above). Anyway, to discuss in it detail, I was wondering...which character article would you want me to start on? —Mirlen 16:15, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, see what I can do. I won't be as good/motivated as you though! Also, thanks (but I had help on the talk page) — if you'd like, I could design your userpage, and your talk page if the userpage design turns out alright. I'd be happy to do it, if you'd want — and you deserve to have a nice design, since you're one of the hardest working WP FF members! ^_~ —Mirlen 16:40, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For the page design, I'll see what ideas'll hit me and how everything will fit. And for the list pages, I've started with Final Fantasy X. And yeah, probably have to careful with FFVII, because not only is it generally agreed that it is the best FF by far (although FFXII may come to rival it from what I hear), but it's so controversial and a lot wars start up about it. —Mirlen 16:59, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's fine. I have a tendency to talk too much as well. As for Tifa's hair color/eyes, lol, Ryu Kaze. That's the handy-dandy part of having a lot of references. Don't have to point out all the time that yes, you have proof. FFVII brings out a lot of biased views of the those with the other end of the spectrum that in Wikipedia, I won't express my opinions on the LT or any other issues— because I do like to be known as a fair editor who won't input her POV in articles. The list pages needs to be improved, I agree, in wording, but I think I'll work on that after I have the references. If you have time, feel free to look over the list pages and correct anything I've done. —Mirlen 17:23, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not done with the FFX list, but feel free to look over what I've got done so far. And yeah, it's FFVII, it's hard not to have an opinion about it, especially on the LT. I'm amazed at some who don't... —Mirlen 17:41, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the server problem hit me and then I had to go to school today, which takes up most of my hours :P. Ryu Kaze, are you the type who'll quietly take up all the load yourself? You know you could've left some load for me. You deserve an FF barnstar — is there such a thing? Btw, for your page design, do you have any color preferences? —Mirlen 22:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, maybe there can be a FF barnstar. As for a green userpage...alright, let me see what I can scrunge up. —Mirlen 23:12, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FF7[edit]

Your welcome, it's yet another FF good article :) — Deckiller 02:53, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good ^_^. You use an online script, I assume? I plan on doing the same for Xenosaga. — Deckiller 19:17, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FF10[edit]

Looks awesome, I added a few tweaks, and I think we can go ahead and flag it for GA nomination. BTW, you can call me "Tyler" ^_^. — Deckiller 19:17, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice! Heck, we may even be ready for featured status now!!! :) — Deckiller 19:20, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. Heck, I'm pretty happy once we get every main FF article (I-XII, Tactics) to GA status. — Deckiller 19:27, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Good point, feel free to remove it :) — Deckiller 23:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of FFX-2 characters[edit]

  • Fixed it. Someone messed up my invisible section there. Yes, it needs to stay, otherwise Roomba, a Wiki robot, will delete all images that are in "pic" links

see discussion Renmiri 20:07, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS, the same applies to List of FFX characters Renmiri 23:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I saw your work on FFX page. Pretty cool. Your user page look fancy too, mind if I borrow some ideas ? Renmiri 23:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FFX-2[edit]

Yeah, it's great. I fixed some of the old edits from like several weeks ago that were somewhat POV, so I think we've covered all bases now. That's three down in the last 24 hours!!! — Deckiller 00:34, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats![edit]

We managed to help promote three articles to GA status in 24 hours! :) — Deckiller 02:15, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there[edit]

Hey Ryu. I think you might be able to help me out on this one. It's somewhat personal.

Our group was given the task to modernize the script of Oedipus Rex. We were then to take this script and turn it into a movie. So far, we have the script done (I was the primary writer), and we're working on compressing the script for the movie.

This is where I am going over my edge. We have a control freak in the group (kinda like me) who wants the compression done his way. He (and the other group member) fail to realize that my hobby is turning long-windedness into succinct prose on this site. Sure, the script was lengthy and wordy, but it was a PLAY SCRIPT, but a MOVIE SCRIPT. The MOVIE SCRIPT is completely different, so I hate being docked points and being criticized for following logic. Oh well, perhaps I'm just one of those writers who believes in "Literary privilege" and turning English into grammar and syntax study....I hate being screwed over because I put my own twists and ideas into writing assignments that aren't essays or papers. — Deckiller 19:16, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. All three are issues, so I wouldn't mind some feedback from all three, but it's primarily getting people to see my way and dealing with the frustration. I'm probably taking this whole thing too far. — Deckiller 19:30, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, we already wrote the script which had a modernized verison of the key points. We got a 95 on the script, it's just the way my group has been treating things that has been bothering me. — Deckiller 21:07, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Ryu, I think this whole convo has just been me trying to find answers to my inferiority complex and overcompnensation. I think I just need to lighten up and let things go :) I think we'll be fine. Thanks for the help though. — Deckiller 21:12, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, peer review is the next good step. — Deckiller 22:29, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flooch invades Ryu's public space![edit]

Hey Ryu, thanks for being super-welcoming ever since day one, for all the help you've provided, and lastly thanks for the barnstar. I appreciate it! ~ Flooch 00:25, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Yeah...I never really liked all the box art squashed together all the same size. It was unslightly and hard to look at, so I changed all the ones with montages to feature the North American box art. Good luck getting FFX to FA status, and amazing job on getting all the references. – warpedmirror (talk) 03:06, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Omega Ruins[edit]

  • First let me congratulate you for the amazing job on getting references and us for the 4 FFX pages that got GA recently. Attaboy / girl to all involved! File:Grin.gif
  • Now a question: Does Ultimania tells anything about Omega ruins and what they were, aside from Omega's final resting place ?
  • Finally an invitation: If you enjoy writing FF related short stories, we have started an ORPG (basically a team writing FF stories) on that little board I'm in... (That's why I'm digging for Omega ruins info). You are welcome to join in. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes per week of your time if you do. Check it out [1] Renmiri 14:23, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wow! Great job on the Wikibooks page! And thanks for finding out I don't need to change my id to rinmiri (j/k). Yeah, FFX material is pretty vague about Omega Ruins. Which means we can really invent stuff on our RPG. I'm thinking of making it a pirates cove (our stories are all from the period right after the Bevelle/ Zanarkand war so sailors didn't fear Sin yet). Thanks for the help! It's ok, I imagined an English teacher wouldn't want to write as a hobby but I wanted to invite you anyway. Renmiri 00:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FFVII, VIII, FFX[edit]

No offense, but I think you may have overdone it with the interviews and character descriptions. They look great, but it may make some of the articles too long in the eyes of a lot of the FA voters. — Deckiller 14:33, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

I Hibana award this Barnstar of Diligence to Ryu Kaze for consistenly improving and providing needed references for the various Final Fantasy articles. Great work! ~ Hibana 21:07, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FFX[edit]

Hey. You might want to wait, since some of the FA voters may say "Refer to Peer Review" regardless. I'm sure some other comments will come by. — Deckiller 00:25, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Overall, I think the article is perfectly fine myself; I think it can get featured. Besides, it's always an incentive to add another FA to the personal list :) I'm in. — Deckiller 14:05, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, cool. If there aren't any more responses by the end of the day, I'll take care of setting it up for FA then. — Deckiller 15:10, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's starting to look really good. I think the story could be trimmed by about 1/4-1/3 and the characters by 1/4. That should be enough to reach a 40 KB trim standard. — Deckiller 02:58, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah, as per Deckiller, I'm still working on addressing the issues brought up in the Peer Review. It's definitely getting close to FA status though. Oh, and are we allowed to nominate them? I would have thought nominations could only be made by external editors like they are with Good Articles. ~ Flooch 02:08, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Okay, thanks for clearing up the FA nomination rules for me. The KB count may be a problem for some for FA nomination, and if we do nominate the article in its present state, we have to be prepared to justify the length (which would be a hassle). In any case, let's wait for the Peer Review to finish first. ~ Flooch 03:56, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wohoo! FA for the FFX page ? I suggest trimming a bit the Trivia section Renmiri 12:42, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of Sin[edit]

  • Thanks for clearing that up; makes perfect sense now. ~ Flooch 21:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Spira[edit]

Good work on improving the article. I had thought of the exact same changes you made subsequent to mine, though I decided against them. Let me explain...

I was reluctant to move the "Designing Spira" section above the list of locations, as it would necessitate a "Locations" header. By my creating a "Locations" header , "Locations" would be seen as a specific subsection of the article, as opposed to being the purpose of the article. And that by creating a subsection called "Locations", others would judge the article incomplete without the inclusion of other sections such as history, religion, sports.

I was pretty unsure about what to do, so I just left the "Designing Spira" section at the end. In any case, I'm glad you made the decision for me. I think the current version of the article looks fine, plus the notice at the very top of the article should discourage other editors from adding sports etc. ~ Flooch 14:34, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahaha, brashness/boldness is a virtue on Wikipedia. Once again, thanks! ~ Flooch 15:10, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Easter![edit]

And sorry the userpage design is taking so long. I've a design going, but I'm running into some problems. :PMirlen 18:37, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pyreflies and Blitzball[edit]

Hey, do you have a reference for that claim we have at the top of the Mythology page ? The reason I ask is because I want to add it to te blitzball page too Blitzball#Gameplay Renmiri 12:43, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, that is the claim... Can you help me add it to the blitzball page ? Add it to the Mythology and I'll C&P the ref File:Grin.gif Renmiri 14:45, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And Ren goes D'oh! Renmiri 15:00, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Did you see this [2], [3]
  • Blitzball comes from Basketball ? - Someone on the forums told me Ultimania says so... Anyway, I've been spending a lot of time sprucing up the Blitzball page. Would you mind having a look-see on it to see if I didn't mess up ? Txs! Renmiri 17:51, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ok, I'll search my old threads and post some Q's around the forums I'm in to see if I can find out who told me about the basketball link. It may not even be at Ultimania, as rumor attributes all kinds of weird made up "facts" to those books. Someone at the forums once swore my book The Art of Final Fantasy X had a picture of Zaon's Final aeon and would NOT believe me when I told him it didn't...
Dog eh ? Consider yourslef lucky! My German Shepperd got skunked last week. She does that at least 2-3 times every spring... Yuck! If that ever happens to your dog, I have a recipe for "how to deskunk your dog in 20 minutes" handy File:Grin.gif (I wonder if I should post it to Wikipedia ? ROFL ) Renmiri 15:56, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
P-u! If your dog has coarse hair like German Sheppard or Husky you can just use a diluted Oxyclean solution (also good for cloth and stuff she rolled on), but the best is peroxide, baking soda and 2 drops of detergent: Mix it, let it bubble up a bit and apply to your dog's fur, let stand 20 minutes then you can rinse it out. http://www.soundmedicine.iu.edu/segment.php4?seg=213 . Watch out for the dog's eyes though! Those need to be washed with water or saline solution only! Renmiri 19:03, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! BTW, once a wikipedian... I added the deskunking tips here Couldn't resist! Renmiri 00:03, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the servers seem to be a little sluggish today. — Deckiller 22:09, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User page[edit]

Hey Ryu, I have something going here, but I don't like how the content is arranged (the userboxes I like). Do you have any specific preferences or requests? Is there a userpage style you like especially? I'm hesistant on how going on with this, I really want to make it deserving enough to match your efforts (although I probably wouldn't be able design one to match up). ^_^

Oh, and about the talk page. For your archive page, would you like the style I have currently on my talk page or the traditional archive file box? —Mirlen 01:57, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, sir! *salutes* ;)Mirlen 21:25, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, thanks![edit]

  • Thanks! I'll keep an eye on there for your work. It's excellent! Renmiri 16:26, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS: lol! I don't know why some FFVII fans hate the connection idea so much. As your friend says, they can have their opinion, but not their own facts! Renmiri 00:12, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PPS: Goodies (t/b dleted soon) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:WeaponsFFX6.jpg
Well, at my book there's the ancient looking Spira map that I scanned for wikibooks [4] but other than that, I scanned the best stuff and loaded here for the list of character pages (pics of Shiva, Luzzu, Gatta, Lian, Yenke, Shelinda, Tobli... ). My best stuff is from screen captures of the DVDs I have (you have the link still don't you ?). The graphics are unbelievable on both but particularly good on the ffx2 DVD [5]. I uploaded a bunch here but the best stuff is still on my HD. Let me knw if you want a screenshot in particular, odds are I have it done already, if not, takes only 5 minutes for me to get it Renmiri 01:50, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Now that you mention it... Not any graphics but if you ever translate any more UG stuff I'd love the link!!! Renmiri 01:50, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yep, only played FFX and X2 so far. As for the graphics o the DVD, I think they carefully recolored the game scenes. You can really see it in some of my captures of FFX such as [6] or [7]. I definitely did not see that rich detail on my PS2. As you can see the FFX DVD scenes are a bit darker toned than the game itself. That is not the case of the FFX2 DVD. The level of detail and the clarity is simply amazing! But you can see for yourself if you kept my email ;-)
Well... If you ever happen to browse that Yuna / Tidus reunion fiction that UG for FFX2 seems to have, let me know if you see any details on why / how Tidus came back, ok ? Or if you see a link about it on Gamefaq or other places too, I'd appreciate a copy. Renmiri 03:00, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! Very cool analysis and makes a lot of sense!!! Thanks, you cleared a mystery for me File:Grin.gif.
PS: As for the Spira map, let me do a better, decent, scan of The Art of Final Fantasy X map for ya, and for Wikipedia. The one you have cuts a piece of about 1 inch on Zaon's side. I did that one in a hurry, just to show Piccolo a map he could put on the Spira page.. Renmiri 03:38, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PPS: Can you see if you don't think I went a little overboard with my last edit on the Al Bhed Language page ? Renmiri 03:50, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Cool stuff on Shuyin! hehehe! I shall wipe the floor with another friend of mine who dared to debate ffx cannon with me File:Grin.gif Buahahah!
PS: Answered your mails. Tempting you even more. Renmiri 11:01, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
