Wikipedia is an encyclopedia

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - talent agency representing an artist is promotional / trivial and unneeded. Active Banana ( bananaphone 19:30, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Japanese actors are represented by various talent agencies, which often host their official websites. It is not promoting the talent agency by stating that this particular individual works for them and they have a profile on their website. That and the personal blog does not provide enough neutral information.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:32, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Ultraman Zero Theme Song

This video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpWs_c_9KFY ) called 『新しい光』says the name of the insert song for Zero Movie but should we add it or not.--MVZIX (剣 光) (talk) 08:54, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Wait for the official statement, rather than some song made for the video.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 18:31, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
It is officially uploaded by Tsuburaya -->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbScBWV_ZgU --MVZIX (剣 光) (talk) 07:11, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Wait for something other than Tsuburaya's video uploads. When something says "X is the theme song for this movie" then we'll use it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 18:29, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Wildflower scans

Do you happen to know anywhere that has scans of Wildflower's liner notes? I'd need them for Tamashii Revolution to get to B-grade status. --Prosperosity (talk) 02:54, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

No, sorry.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:12, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry. It was a risk. I just thought they might latch onto that and not pay attention to the main points - catch you in some kind of technicality and use it as a reason to disregard your argument. I think I've seen it done in the past... Wikkitywack (talk) 21:19, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Regarding whether or not he deserves own article, Punk 911 told me to talk to you about this. Seriously, did he appear in any more than 2 episodes? Cos otherwise, he's most likely not worthy of his own article. NotARealWord (talk) 02:38, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

He was featured in 4 episodes (the fictional character of "Kamata" at least), so he mostly does deserve his own page. It could be merged with the Nine Worlds character list, but I'm not sure right now.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
If 4 episodes means he mostly deserved his own page, then there should be an article on this site for every single Power Ranger. NotARealWord (talk) 16:51, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Most of them do.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:30, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually just the Zordon Era rangers plus two Timme Force rangers and the scaly dog from SPD. Nearly all of the Disney rangers don't have their own article. NotARealWord (talk) 21:30, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
That's still a good portion. I was going to merge Kamen Rider Abyss today, but seeing as you've gone with several deletion requests on Riders who are notable (first female, first foreigner, akin to another recently not-deleted article, there's no where for this information to go), once my block expires, I will provide the same level of information that I did to prove that Kamen Rider Dark Kabuto was notable. In the future, it'd be better not to go directly to AFD.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Notability means covered by multiple independent third party sources, the first female thing would be meaningful if there were like newspaper articles on the subject (plus, Femme only counts if you don't count Tackle. I personally don't get what does or doesn't count as a Kamen Rider.). The ones I tagged for deletion didn't even have much screen time. NotARealWord (talk) 22:02, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Tackle isn't a Rider. Also, all of these characters get covered in Hyper Hobby, Terebikun, etc. If you hold off on the deletion requests, when my block expires I will work on pages for the Agito through Blade movies, thereby turning a bunch of pages into redirects, to save time and resources.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:13, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
To spell it out better, in 24 hours, there will be an article for Kamen Rider Agito: Project G4, Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final, Kamen Rider Ryuki Special: 13 Riders, Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Lost, and Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace (I've asked a friend to see if he could start the pages up), thereby eliminating the need for the following individual articles: Kamen Rider Femme, Kamen Rider Ryuga, Kamen Rider Verde, Kamen Rider Psyga, Kamen Rider Orga, Kamen Rider Glaive, Kamen Rider Lance, and Kamen Rider Larc. And there will not be the need for making several AFD discussions on all of those. I will also work on merging Kamen Rider Abyss, Kamen Rider Amaki, and Chinomanako into the List of Kamen Rider Decade characters in the Nine Worlds and List of Kamen Rider Decade characters in the New Worlds. So please end the deletion discussions so regular editing can fix it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:18, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

The AfDs shouldn't expire by then, if you want to merge, discuss that after you're unblocked. Also, about Tackle, as I've noted above I don't get what counts as their own Rider, Black is numbered separately from RX, Riderman counts despite not completely covering his face, Diend, Shin and Hibiki don't ride anything, etc, but we're getting of topic. NotARealWord (talk) 22:26, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

"Denpa Ningen Tackle" was specifically stated to not be a Kamen Rider. This was made fun of in the Kamen Rider Decade net movies. And it would be easier to merge all of those pages, instead of holding off on the five you sent to AFD, if you stopped the AFDs and allowed for merging to happen.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:27, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
AfDs are for obtaining consensus, I don't have the authority to close them, plus there is some discussion going on, so there are people out there willing to discuss. NotARealWord (talk) 22:31, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
You opened them. You can withdraw the requests if you want to, regardless of how the consensus is leaning.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:41, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm not so sure about removing Abyss (5 Episodes, 2 as Abyss and 3 as Paradoxa), Amaki (4 Episodes/Movie), and Chinomanako (2 Episodes/1 Shinkenger). Xtreme2010 ( ~AlienX2009~ ) 22:43, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

AlienX2009: Go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kamen Rider Abyss. Not here.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:44, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, thank you. But I was asking your opinion. Xtreme2010 ( ~AlienX2009~ ) 22:46, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Also, they're not main Riders. Just temporary ones.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:47, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, they are still notable. It's like saying to delete Dark Kabuto. Joker has been in a movie and one episode, there isn't an article for him. Plus, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kamen Rider Abyss doesn't really help my opinion it's just ridiculous. Xtreme2010 ( ~AlienX2009~ ) 22:50, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Dark Kabuto was in several episodes. Joker was in one. Chinomanako was in 2, Amaki was in 3, Abyss was in 2. Once I get unblocked I'm merging all the pages, regardless of the AFDs.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:55, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Wrong, Chinomanako: 2+1 (Shinkenger), Abyss: 5, Amaki: 2+Film. Xtreme2010 ( ~AlienX2009~ ) 22:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Amaki wasn't in the movie, Abyss was only Abyss in 2 episodes, and Chinomanako Diend did not appear in Shinkenger.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:57, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

AlienX2009, if you disagree with an AfD, state your reason(s) on the AfD discussion. Not on somebody's userpage. NotARealWord (talk) 23:32, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Damn it. I'm asking someone's opinion. I've already discussed on your stupid and worthless debate. 23:35, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

September 2010

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Courcelles 09:52, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
This is explicitly an edit warring block, not a 3RR block, as your four reverts were over a 26 and a half hour period, but I can't look at this train wreck and decide it was anything other than a mutual edit war. Courcelles 09:57, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
That's fine. I expected this to happen.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:31, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
At least Odokee got blocked too. That guy had some serious problems, hopefully he learned his lessonAvindra talk / contribs 02:04, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
But he's going to be unblocked the same time I am. That's why I put WP:ANI#Odokee up, but it was mostly ignored because of the blocks.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:29, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Hang in there

The Admin's Barnstar
I hereby award you this Admin's Barnstar for being an admin who still manages to edit articles (enough to get blocked) and letting me say, "The blocking administrator is currently blocked as well." Please stop

Please stop. Please do not post to my user talk page, per my prior request to you at your user talk page. I have respected you, after you chose to blank out my comment at your user talk page with no response (except to extend you the courtesy of notifying you of an AFD). Please extend the same respect to me, and do not post to my user talk page, and especially not in the manner which necessitated the comment you blanked out earlier. Thank you. -- Cirt (talk) 22:33, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I was getting too emotionally involved with the retention of the information on Wikipedia and acted entirely inappropriately. I should know better. I just would rather the information be at its best, even though the sources for such information aren't optimal for Wikipedia's standards. I know that what you are doing is better for the encyclopedia than having the pages as they are.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:00, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks very much. Understood, and as a gentle suggestion, it might be best in the future to first work on new pages as a draft in a subpage of your userspace for example like at User:Ryulong/Article draft, instead of going right away with creating an unsourced, or poorly sourced page, in article main space. :) Cheers, -- Cirt (talk) 23:05, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm aware. I also know that these pages are full of content that's probably not necessary for understanding of the subject. I'd continue working on other poor pages, but one set of articles doesn't have a central character list and another has a page that's about 3 characters with one alter ego.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:08, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks!

Power Rangers: Samurai‎ and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger‎

The Power Rangers website[3] and the news article from Variety[4] have images that clearly show the Shinkenger‎ costumes therefore showing that Power Rangers: Samurai will be using the costumes from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger‎ and therefore the info is not original research. Powergate92Talk 19:06, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

If they do not say "Shinkenger" THEN NEITHER CAN WE. Just because the suits are the same does not mean we get to make the jump to say that one is based on the other.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:27, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
I started a discussion about this at WP:No original research/Noticeboard#Power Rangers: Samurai‎ and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger‎. Powergate92Talk 22:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Have fun being wrong until March or whenever the fuck this is going to air.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:54, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
It's slated for February. Also, the actors have been confirmed as their photos are on powerrangers.com. Digifiend (talk) 01:12, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
The actor's are not named.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:15, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Do you think this news article would be a reliable enough source for the info? It showed up in a Google News search[5] and it doe's say "The series will be adapted from the 2009 Super Sentai Series, SAMURAI SENTAI SHINKENGER. The official cast of the new series was announced a few weeks ago. Newcomers Alex Heartman, Najee-De-Tiege, Hector David Jr., Erika Fong, Brittany Pirtle, and Steven Skyler will play the new Power Rangers". Powergate92Talk 05:21, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
It was published over a month ago, so no. Its sources are the fandom.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:51, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

This user has been making edits on the "List of Kamen Rider Decade characters in the New Worlds" page by adding the "World of W.I.T.C.H". There were also others that have done this: 65.182.127.3 & 76.241.74.172. I've deleted many of his edits, but (he/she) wont stop. ~Xtreme2010~ ( ★ AlienX2009 ★ ) 02:23, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Ryulong, I have. But I am also busy these days, you are the only reliable person who can deal with this. ~Xtreme2010~ ( ★ AlienX2009 ★ ) 02:51, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I've declined your CSD tag on the above page because it doesn't qualify for CSD. Try WP:MFD. Thanks, Airplaneman 22:17, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Uva

I checked it up, Uvarovite is a bright-green garnet. Does that mean that the Greed might also be named after precious things too.72.184.129.252 (talk) 11:46, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

No. It's just some random Singaporean IP's idea that has no basis in fact.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 18:34, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Shinkenger and Power Rangers

I didn't mean to suggest mentioning that PR:Samurai will be based on Shinkenger, just that the five ranger costumes they shown came from there, since those are the only thing we know for sure that came from Shinkenger. Plot details, characterization, stock footage and whatnot we don't know for sure. NotARealWord (talk) 08:46, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
