SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 22:31, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring warning[edit]

Please stop edit warring on CHS's page. Gain consensus or start an RFC. EvergreenFir (talk) 20:41, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to, (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

User:NeilN Honestly, I have no idea what this means. Is this a warning? Am I not able to do something that I used to be able to do? Honest questions. S806 (talk) 21:09, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi S806. It's an alert to telling you that you are editing in a contentious area. Therefore you should minimize edit warring and make sure your talk page posts meet our standards of conduct (e.g., "focus on content, not the contributor"). --NeilN talk to me 21:15, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, got it. Yeah, I should have cooled down. Sorry about that. I think a WP:BREAK may be in order. S806 (talk) 21:17, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
One more piece of advice. Be careful of labeling content as "defamatory", especially if other editors don't agree. Repeatedly doing so could lead you into WP:NLT territory. If you truly think there's a legal issue and others don't, email info-en-q@wikipedia.org to get clarification. --NeilN talk to me 21:29, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
