Thank you for uploading File:Sos cover september2010.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 03:42, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sound on Sound, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 16:58, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Sos cover oct2010.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sos cover oct2010.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:25, 6 October 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 18:25, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. Unfortunately there is still a problem with this image. As you are not the copyright owner, you cannot license it or release it. Please follow the process set out at WP:IOWN to provide evidence of permission from the copyright owner. Also with respect to COI, as yours is pretty massive, the best way to proceed (apart from obvious things like correcting spelling errors) is to use the article talk page to discuss changes that you think should be made. You should also consider changing your user name (see WP:CHU) as your existing one is on the borderline of being in breach of the user name policy. Thanks. – ukexpat (talk) 14:25, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the license template to {{OTRS pending}} to indicate that permission has been submitted but not yet actioned. It may take several days for that to happen, but even if the image is deleted in the meantime, it can be undeleted when the OTRS review is completed. – ukexpat (talk) 14:49, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
