Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, STINALARSEN. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 14:39, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To add to the voices at the Helpdesk[edit]

FWIW, once the film has been out a few weeks, there probably will be sources that satisfies the demands of WP:GNG and WP:NFILM. What you need is a few articles about the film in Jyllandsposten, Berlingske etc. Sources do not have to be in english (WP:NOENG) though it doesn't hurt on en-WP, but they have to be WP:RS. Good luck. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:52, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About that film...[edit]

I just read your draft. It looks to me like it will become notable based on WP:NFILM, but not for the usual reasons. I knew nothing of the subject before reading your draft and the Jan Grarup article.

Because is a documentary about a person, based on WP:NFILM I think this material would best be added to the Jan Garup article. That article does not describe this (very important) part of his life and career. The film will need its own article only if the film portion of the article becomes so large that it clutters the Garup article, or if the film becomes very clearly notable in its own right. Even if it does become independently notable, the story it documents needs to be in the Garup article. Note that this is only my opinion, and I'm just one of the 100,000 or so co-equal active editors here. -Arch dude (talk) 16:17, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of Draft:Photographer of War[edit]

Draft:Photographer of War, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Photographer of War and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). Welcome as well[edit]

Welcome as well.

Read the COI advice above. Who are you? Why are you doing this? Is it due to a specific professional instruction from your employer? If yes, we can work with that, if you are co-operative.

If you are not being directly paid to add this material, my standard advice is for you to imporve material in existing articles peripherally related to this topic. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:41, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly you are Stina Larsen? Your real name? You’ll get some respect for that, but we are not asking for proof of ID or anything like that, just some understanding of who you are with respect to what you are editing or adding. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:49, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Smokey Joe, thanks for feedback. Stina Larsen is my real name and I am not getting paid to do the article. I am a student at a Danish media school who has a unpaid internship at the company. I was not trying to do something there is not allowed on Wikipedia, and if I did I am sorry for that. The goal for me was not to do advertising i was just trying to do a informative article about the movie, I did not know i was not allowed to do that, and again I am sorry for that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.18.190.102 (talk) 07:56, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Photographer of War[edit]

Hello, STINALARSEN. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Photographer of War".
