Your username change request

[edit]

Hello, Shiva Mahbobi. Regarding your request to have your username changed, I wanted to point out that the bit "User:" is automatically added to every userpage, and it can't be removed. I'm guessing that you mean to write an article instead, which you can do so by going to Shiva Mahbobi, but before you do so please read and make sure you understand the notability guideline to determine if an article on the subject is appropriate for the encyclopedia. Also, if you are actually Shiva Mahbobi then please review the conflict of interest guideline to know how to best contribute to the project. If you're not, then I recommend you request to change your username to one that identifies perrem sonally as an editor. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any doubts. Best regards — Frankie (talk) 18:30, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again

[edit]

Hello. Following on your note at WP:CHU/S, the page was moved to your new name because it is in userspace. Let me reiterate that to have an article on Shiva Mahbobi it can only be located in mainspace, but that only if notability is met. The article must not be located in userspace, neither at "User:Shiva Mahbobi" nor "User:Saeed Parto" (see WP:FAKEARTICLE). I understand that you think that the encyclopedia should have an article that people can find, but the subject must meet the inclusion criteria before such article is created.
Regarding the article, the content now found at User:Saeed Parto cannot be kept there indefinitely. As I stated before, the sources we have right now are not enough to meet notability. If you have knowledge of additional reliable sources available please note them, but if there isn't anything else then that content should be deleted — Frankie (talk) 03:54, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi Frankie, thanks for your reply. Every time we speak something new is coming up, and I am totally confused now. I have followed all your advices so far and complied with all your requests and suggestions, and now you're going to delete my user space. I don't know what else to do. You said my article will be deleted it its moved to the main space because doesn't meet notability so I have been and still am working to meet the criteria. You said I have to change my user name to my name, so I did, now you're saying that this article can not be even on the user space and should be deleted. I have worked really hard to meet the notability criteria and every time i have had a new material, i have forwarded them to you and you have advised me on it, so why now my user page has to be deleted? I am still working hard to gather more material for this article to be notable, but if you have decided to delete it then there is nothing else I can do, you are the controller and I am the user.Shiva Mahbobi (talk) 21:55, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry if it's been confusing, though I've tried to be very clear to point out that userspace is not a place to write an article. It is normal to keep a copy in your userspace while you work to get it ready for mainspace (see WP:DRAFT), but that is only if there's an expectation that the subject will be suitable for an article. The material we have right now is not enough for that, and personally I don't think that there will be any more in the near future. I don't decide whether things are deleted or not, that would be done through a deletion discussion. What I can tell you, given the circumstances, is that it will most likely be deleted. I can appreciate that you're working hard on this, and so I've been waiting to see if you could find more sources. But please consider the possibility that Ms. Mahbobi may just not be notable at the moment, in which case there is no point in keeping the draft — Frankie (talk) 23:27, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The image File:Shiva M.jpg cannot be used in the Wikipedia article until there is confirmed permission. The picture is also used on the subject's Twitter page, and there is no indication that it can be used elsewhere. We would need explicit permission from whomever owns the copyright in the image (or they would have to confirm it is in the public domain). ... discospinster talk 20:49, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
