Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Sanjay Gupta (businessman), without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. You also seem capable of adding inline citations so that they appear at the bottom of the page in the references list. Orphan tag[edit]

I have readded the orphan tag, as {{orphan|few}}, after removing the inappropriate See also link that you added to private equity, and the misleading (and very inappropriate) piped wikilink that you added to Indian Administrative Service. The orphan tag is not a 'defacement' of the article, and is not something that must be removed right away, it is a maintenance template intended to help editors who are trying to work on specific types of issues, by adding the article to hidden categories. Specifically, there are other articles that should link to this one that are poorly developed and cannot currently sensibly link to this one, and the existence of this article in the maintenance category helps editors who are looking for related topics that need improvement. Adding incoming links merely in order to remove the orphan template is not helpful if it does not properly resolve those issues, and adding a 'piped' link from the term 'IAS officer' to the article about you is misleading to readers and highly inappropriate.

Also, See also links should never be piped links, but should always show the title of the article they are linking to.

To be blunt, while you are notable, and your effort to improve Wikipedia by adding an article about yourself is highly appreciated, you should stop trying to make the article look like you 'want' it to, and instead concern yourself with making constructive improvements. There are articles on subjects related to you such as Handicrafts and Handlooms Export Corporation of India where, if you were to apply your expertise, your efforts would be appreciated, and which would quite appropriately link to this article if they were improved. That article would specifically benefit greatly from a list of past and present officers (which would link to many articles, including the one about you).
