Misha Sedgwick[edit]

Well, you've obviously seen the discussion and the fact that someone contacted the foundation about the article. I wonder if putting directly on the talk page the fact that someone had complained about embarrassing information would be seen as further embarrassment? I'm inclined to keep it on my talk page unless the reversions continue. This is actually an interesting problem; my human impulse is to avoid embarassing people needlessly, but she made the mess herself, and if these facts were taken out, I doubt she would qualify for an article under the notability guidelines. But the guidelines for biographies of living people (WP:LIVING says things like "with great power comes great responsibility" and "first do no harm." Hi Thatcher, I think you have done a very professional job editing this article and the current page is probably as objective as possible. I understand there may be some ongoing sensitivity issues surrounding the material pertaining to Peter Braunstein/the "controversial identity claim" but everything mentioned is factual information. Regarding what should be included in the Talk page, imho, I think everything pertaining to the recent changes/sourcing including the OTRS complaint should be added so readers & editors have a detailed sense of why certain changes were made. I'm empathetic to the possiblity that someone close to Misha (or Misha herself) may have personal objections to the content of the article but I think if we started excising relevant factual information to personally appease the subjects of articles we'd be producing something closer to a press release than an objective factual resource. ~Just my 2 cents~ Btw, I'd like to get your professional opinion on a non-Misha related issue. My sincere apologies. While it is true that you do not own this page, it most certainly is true that I have no more right to revert it than you do to blank it. Brian Kinney picture[edit]

I understand why you might be offended that I replaced your picture of Gale Harold in his biography, and why you might prefer to have it here instead of the screenshot I used. I felt, simply, that the picture didn't do justice to Gale Harold's handsomeness, and that the Showtime publicity photo did. As for the picture I posted here, you're right, it was less clear than yours. It did, however, show Brian in an emotional state (illustrating the content of the "Brian Kinney" article) and wearing the Brian bracelet (also referred to in the article). It was the clearest view of the Brian bracelet in any picture I've archived, and with the bracelet on, it's more obvious that Gale is playing that character in the picture. In the future, perhaps we can compromise on a better resolution picture that is more characteristically Brian than the present one. --Ducdebrabant 10, July, 2006

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use.
