Okay, I won't. Sarah.t.life 16:52, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:13, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, adding 4 tildes (i.e. ~~~~) will make the system add your name and a time/date stamp to your comment, and colons at the front of a message will act as tabs to indent it (if you look at this comment, you'll see that I've used 3 colons, while the one above it has only 2, making a pyramid of sorts). Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:13, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. Sarah.t.life 15:11, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Oh...my GOD. That's what I just did. User:Beyond My Ken Sarah.t.life 15:11, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, you put in five tildes, which just puts in the time stamp. (Three just puts in your name). Four tildes is what you want. Beyond My Ken (talk) 15:36, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I literally did put four tildes. User:Beyond My Ken Unless if you can't see it, I would just read my message again.

Sarah.t.life 15:51, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

However moreover, we can talk more later (if you would like, because since at the moment, I'm at my Job)..I have something to ask you. User:Beyond My Ken.

Sarah.t.life 15:55, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Just so you can see the difference, where's what each of the options looks like:
  • Five tildes: 16:17, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Now compare these to your signatures above. Beyond My Ken (talk) 16:17, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy to discuss whatever you like later. If you want to draw my attention to this page, you can "ping" me using this formulation: {{ping|Beyond My Ken}}. OK. Beyond My Ken (talk) 16:19, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It may be that Sarah has tried to customise her signature at Special:Preferences? --David Biddulph (talk) 16:24, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that could be, I hadn't thought of that: it's been so long since I dropped my custom sig and have used a plain vanilla one. Thanks for pointing that out.
If that's the case, Sarah, then I apologize for misunderstanding. Beyond My Ken (talk) 16:26, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You meant to say, "*here's* what each of the options look like:". Hehheh~ I'm only joking. ;3
Yes, that was what I had put along with my Username. The four tildes.
Alright then, if you say so, lol. Sarah (Username:Sarah.t.life) Sarah.t.life 23:53, 16 August 2017 (UTC) There you have it.[reply]
Hehheh~ yeah, okay then. Oh, I know that indent on how you can get some User's attention/mention them, with that "ping", yes.
Heh, yeah. And lol! A "plain vanilla" one? And oh, why no no, that is alright.
However moreover, getting to with what I wanted to tell you. I had thought about this for a little while and I would like to sincerely apologize for my behaviour to you from when we were first getting to know one another. I really hadn't meant to be like that towards you; but with me (if you would like to know) I have been dealing with some issues and with one of them being Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety...which can have an effect with my mental health (which can sometimes not be healthy).
I do understand however, that you are a Veteran and I respect that, which can be almost the same amount of respect for any other ordinary person, (like me). How I would understand that you would like respect is because, you are a person that works along with the Country to fight for our rights/freedom. I also hope we can be good Friends. {{ping|Beyond My Ken}}

@Sarah: Thank you for for the apology. I, in turn, would like to apologize if I made you feel harassed or uncomfortable in any way, which was not my intention, I assure you. I also hope that we can get along well in the future. I am very dedicated to improving Wikipedia, and if you are too, then we will have that great project in common. Best, Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:00, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Beyond My Ken: Ohh! By the way, (getting to the question(s) that I had mainly wanted to ask); Do you think it would be okay if we, (or, you, it wouldn't matter for who edits these), that, if you could edit the other CDP Articles; (like the ones listed in the Municipalities and Communities of Westchester County Chart): Armonk, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Chappaqua, and etc. to be organized like the Mohegan Lake one?
If you think it could, (or, can), be possible to do so, I would be happy to assist you with trying to research accurate information about all these CDP's, (and that I would appreciate it also, heh). You can let me know what you think for when you have the opportunity.
Thank you Sarah.t.life (talk) 14:34, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sarah.t.life: I have a fair amount on my plate right now, such as that I promised another editor that I would take a look through 23rd Street (Manhattan) several weeks ago and still haven't gotten to it, but I'd be happy to add those articles to my list and get back to you when I have the time to work on them. Beyond My Ken (talk) 15:42, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Beyond My Ken: Ohh! I see. My apologies, I will let you support this other User with the [(23rd Street (Manhattan)]] Article before going onto any others. As well as ooh, well, alright then! Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing from you about it.
Warm regards, Sarah.t.life (talk) 23:47, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Armonk[edit]

Why are you plainly deleting content from the Armonk article??? Please provide edit summaries, but this looks like plain vandalism. ɱ (talk) · vbm · coi) 00:19, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ohh! I'm so sorry. I'll be sure to do that. Also, I am not performing any concept of vandalism, I am only making minor edits.

You kept plainly deleting "(/ˈɑːrˌmɒŋk/) is a hamlet and", and edit warred to try to keep that deleted. When I warned you about deleting content on this user talk page, you kept deleting my comments. Care to explain? ɱ (talk) · vbm · coi) 00:23, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
...And you keep removing it. Stop or I will report you to the Administrators' Noticeboard, and you will be blocked. ɱ (talk) · vbm · coi) 00:25, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know and understand that. However wait, I deleted your comment(s)? Can you be a little specific about that? Sarah.t.life (talk) 00:25, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes look. Here you deleted one of them. Here you deleted another. ɱ (talk) · vbm · coi) 00:27, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sarah.t.life: There's absolutely no way I'm going to assist you on editing Armonk, New York or any of the other articles you mentioned above if you're going to go about working on them in the same way you did Mohegan Lake, New York, which was very disruptive. You must come to an understanding of the way things work here, or you are heading towards being blocked from editing. I gather you don't want that, and that you want to keep working on the articles you listed above. If that's the case, please listen to the advice and warnings you are getting from other editors. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:40, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Beyond My Ken: I wasn't assuming to do that to the Armonk, New York Article like what was happening with the Mohegan Lake, New York one. Also, alright then, but what is it exactly that "m" wants me to do? Would he want me to insert a Summary for each Edit I input? And yes, I do see the warnings that would be sent; Why would I not follow them if I know I may be doing something wrong?

One of the fundamental rules of Wikipedia is not to edit war, which means not to fight with one or more other editors by restoring an edit you made after they removed it. The general rule of thumb is that you got to remove or add something once -- that's call a "bold" edit, then someone else "Reverts" it if they disagree with it. The next step is the crucial one: do not restore your edit again, and, especially, do not do so multiple times. What you actually should do is to go to the article's talk page and start a discussion. Explain why you think your addition or removal was appropriate, and see what other editors have to say about it. Hopefully, a WP:Consensus will develop about what to do. This whole cycle is called the "Bold-Revert-Discuss" cycle, and you can read more about it at WP:BRD. By not following this, and automatically restoring your edit multiple times against more than one editor, you are "edit warring", which is disruptive.
Yes, it is a good idea to include an edit summary for almost every edit you make, explaining what you're doing, but just adding an edit summary doesn't justify edit warring. You're best advised to follow BRD closely and to get into the habit of discussing disputes with other editors, as it really is the only way to work out problems and reach a consensus, which is the underlying basis of Wikipedia. Ohh! Alright then. I understand what you mean by that @Beyond My Ken:. Thank you very much for the insight.
Also, btw, I have inserted a question about the Armonk, New York article in their talk page. (Just thought I would let you know).
