January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Rehsarb. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Rehsarb (talk) 21:38, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the kind reply. I am learning. @ThaddeusSholto could take a note from your manners. SarahReule (talk) 16:03, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Eve Higginbotham. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:51, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah again, didn't do that. It is neutral. If you are threatened by her legacy that is a personal problem. SarahReule (talk) 16:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Dr. Higginbotham has ultimately become a prominent figure in both academia and medicine, both of which she has dedicated her life to in efforts toward equity in education and healthcare" is not neutral. This was the very first sentence you added. You added an entire "Early Life and Education" section that had no references at all which violates WP:BLP. This is about policy. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for promotion or advertising, as you did at Eve Higginbotham. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:19, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm definitely not doing that. I apologize if her merit and vast career gives you the impression anybody is "advertising" her. Dr. Higginbotham requires neither advertising nor promotion, and your insinuation of such is disgusting. SarahReule (talk) 16:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you or do you not have a personal connection to Eve Higginbotham? It is that simple. WP:COI states that you must disclose a conflict of interest and you have yet to respond here other than cast aspersions towards others who are upholding Wikipedia guidelines. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:30, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi SarahReule! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Geardona (talk to me?) 17:20, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Eve Higginbotham. Rehsarb (talk) 16:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AGAIN its sourced correctly. SarahReule (talk) 16:03, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, SarahReule. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Eve Higginbotham ‎, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 16:51, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
