A tag has been placed on Malicebox quest, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 09:05, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Louise Harwood[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Louise Harwood, by Salaskan (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Louise Harwood seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Louise Harwood, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:33, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Patrick Ness, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.walkerbooks.co.uk/Patrick-Ness. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators may be blocked from editing. I have deleted the article you created on Patrick Ness since its content was clearly copied from http://www.walkerbooks.co.uk/Patrick-Ness. -- Rick Block (talk) 16:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

so basically not everyone can contibute to wiki? I was in the middle of building this page, I have permission to use the image and you delete the page...even though I added the hang on tag.? That basically sucks. It took me ages to try and figure out how to properly create a page. I am seriously annoyed at your actions... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahfc (talkcontribs) 17:35, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, everyone can contribute - but, not by illegally copying information from other websites. If you'd still like to create a page on Patrick Ness you'd need to address the other issue which is one of notability (see Wikipedia:Notability (people)). If you read this guideline and feel he meets one or more of the criteria listed, just click Patrick Ness and type away using your own words (no need to worry about formatting or anything like that) being sure to mention what criteria from the guideline he meets. More information on creating articles is at Wikipedia:Your first article. I understand you're annoyed that I deleted the page, but copyrighted content copied from other sites must be deleted (for legal reasons). If you'd like you can start an article in your user space, at (for example) user:Sarahfc/Patrick Ness. I'd be happy to take a look at it before "going live" with it (and as long as you don't just copy something from some other website I won't delete it - I promise). -- Rick Block (talk) 19:16, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
