MQM[edit]

Actually i had quiet a massive exam this month. Preparation kept me busy in last few months. I have ample time now. I'll keep tabs on that article. Thanks for letting me know. —  Hamza  [ talk ] 09:33, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bad sourcing[edit]

In this edit you remove one source which attests to what the texts reads and then you add instead another which does not mention the facts stated in the text. I suggest you be a bit more diligent in applying and making changes to existing references in the future. __meco (talk) 15:14, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid it was not bad sourcing, check your talk page for more details and explanation. Sarmadhassan (talk) 08:01, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I prefer to discuss this in one place, i.e. here if you don't mind. Copying your response below:
Hi, Thank you for the suggestion for this edit but;
  1. There is no mentioning of 27 times in your source [1]
  2. English source has precedence over than the one in a foreign language. I suggest you read Wikipedia:Verifiability#Non-English_sources

The reference was for the fact that the shooting took place close to his home. No other reference exists to attest to this. I appreciate that you are participating in the section Talk:Salmaan Taseer#Near his "home" which discusses this. __meco (talk) 15:33, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

January 2011[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hindu extremism. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please take this to Talk:Hindu extremism and talk it out. Do not edit war. Thanks. Zachlipton (talk) 08:28, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nawaz Sharif[edit]

The links of BBC wesbsite are the most reliable. How can you say that including these links is against NPOV ? 222.190.109.114 (talk) 13:36, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is not about reliability of the source. Your change in article headings [2] were not constructive and were not neutral as they are now. The external links are not supposed to be placed inline. However you can put the information from those sources under the heading Violating exile agreement in September 2007

Please notice these vandalizing users[edit]

See these users who are biased anti-muslims and pushing personal thinking POV on articles related to India, Hinduism etc. These are the articles : Babri Mosque, Junagadh, 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings, 2002 Gujarat violence, 2008 Mumbai attacks, Shiv Sena, Bal Thackeray, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Hindu Extremism and many others. The biased users are :User:SpacemanSpiff, User:Shovon76, User:MikeLynch, User:SPat, User:Abhishek191288, User:Mike_Rosoft, User:Takeaway etc. They are only vandalizing the articles and defaming muslims by their false propaganda. I don't know how to report Wikipedia admins about these. Can you do something ? 222.190.109.114 (talk) 04:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) First, I'd caution you to avoid personal attacks and to assume good faith. Even if these users are pushing a POV (and I have no knowledge of the subject one way or another), calling them "biased anti-muslims" isn't something that helps to resolve the situation. If you believe they are vandalizing articles, I'd encourage you to first discuss the issue with them directly on their user talk pages or on the respective article talk pages. If that fails, you could pursue WP:Dispute resolution take or take the issue to WP:AN/I for administrator assistance. I hope this helps. Thanks. draft Al Aan TV page to main namespace ?[edit]

The Iman al-Obeidi article has a reference which links to Al Aan TV. i don't know if it would be fair to switch/copy your draft to the main namespace without your approval, even though in terms of copyright, it does seem that your draft is (necessarily) CC-BY-SA as with main namespace material. On the other hand, it would be pointless for me or someone else to start the article while ignoring the work you've already put in.

So i'm just going to suggest to you that you put your draft in place and trust others to help you improve it (and not AfD it...). A few obvious redirects should be put in place, e.g. AlAan TV, Al Aan. Boud (talk) 22:21, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

I am having a problem with videocite at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iman_al-Obeidi at the family section. Apparently the template isn't working like normal citations of web, news and journals. Sarmadhassan (talk) 11:16, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There were a number of problems with the addition. First, you had an empty cite video template template with no parameters filled out right above the one you were attempting to place. Second, you did not copy and paste the full url into the url= field, leaving out the "http://", third, and most importantly, you failed to enclose the filled out template in ref tags (<ref>citation</ref>), which is what makes it become a footnoted reference. It's mostly fixed. There's still something wrong because the title is being enclosed in brackets, so I'm going to leave this request open. I also copyedited the text you added.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 11:50, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The brackets appear to be standard for trans_title parameters for a number of cite templates, and appear to be used parenthetically - there are lots of examples at Vocaloid. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:32, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Asad_Durrani Do we need to prefix Lieutenant General as an article name. Simply Asad Durrani looks vague to me. Kindly help me out with this. Sarmadhassan (talk) 09:45, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No. Wikipedia's standard is not to put ranks or titles into the title of biographical articles - see WP:MOSBIO. JohnCD (talk) 11:49, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New projects![edit]

Template:WP Pakistan has recently been updated with a whole heap of new regional task forces, some of which were created almost two years ago but never really got the kickstart. Feel free to join any of them and contribute if you are interested. Cheers; Mar4d (talk) 09:40, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. Will surely get onboard. Sarmadhassan (talk) 09:46, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed[edit]

I have noticed that you have done significant consistent contributions to the Zardari page. Could you please join the discussion at FA nomination for Zardari? I may be leaving the country for a month in 3 days and do not want the nomination to fail if I am gone. Any help would be appreciated. Reformation32 (talk) 21:15, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How am I going to convince wikipedia that the person sent me the picture with his consent to be placed on the article related to him ? I want to be the uploaded so I can feel proud :)Sarmadhassan (talk)

It's quite complicated, because copyright law is complicated. The person who owns the copyright of the picture (usually, the photographer) has to give consent. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. JohnCD (talk) 13:31, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
