March 2008[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Film. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Palador Pictures, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);

avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

Also, Wikipedia is a free content project, and you have uploaded several images with fraudulent source, author and license information. In addition to the external link spamming, your addition of these DVD cover images to articles can also be considered a form of spamming. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a platform for advertising. The note you added to your user page should work. While editing with a conflict of interest is generally discouraged, if you think you can make your contributions more neutral or do some referencing from reliable sources, go ahead and improve the article. Although the article is tagged now, it might take a while before other editors clean it up. I'm not gonna jump in yet. You can modify your e-mail settings by clicking "preferences", but unfortunately there is no way to get messages left on your user talk page directly to your e-mail. I have done a bit of cleanup per our Manual of Style and removed one of the two DVD covers as "decorative" fair use, which is not allowed. However, one cover image should meet the policy on non-free content. Even with those references, Gautam Shiknis does not meet Wikipedia's notability requirements, so this article needs to be turned back into a redirect or nominated for deletion. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Non-notable. Mentions in refs are one-sentence mention. Certainly not the main topic of the article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
