February 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Mehndi have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Diffs: [1] Wikipedia isn't the place for you to spam your website dastoormehndiandmakeup.in. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:17, 24 February 2018 (UTC) Sauravkmwt (talk) 21:05, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sauravkmwt (talk) 15:33, 24 February 2018 (UTC) Hi There, I got your message and want to tell you that the website link I provided with my content is actually related to the content. So please revert back the changes you've made and republish my content with the reference link. However, you can add my website link just for once instead of twice, because it accidentally published twice.[reply]
Thank you for your response. Sorry, but per WP:UGC, we're only interested in what mainstream reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about any given subject. Random blogs/websites do not fit the bill. This website in particular, which appears to exist solely to promote a business, and is not an authoritative academic resource, doesn't meet our reliable sourcing guidelines. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:49, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and if you think that creating another account and/or having someone else edit in tandem with you to restore this content as seems to be the case here, is going to fly, it's not. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:55, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sauravkmwt (talk) 16:04, 24 February 2018 (UTC) Hi There, I got you, Sorry for the external link, I would like to know that if I had related content on my website then it will be fine to refer my link with some content or not??[reply]
One More thing that there are some other external links that are also violating the Wikipedia policy and they also done the same thing. So will you delete it too.
"if I had related content on my website then it will be fine to refer my link with some content or not??" - No, for the detailed reasons I indicated above, i.e.: "we're only interested in what mainstream reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about any given subject ... This website in particular, which appears to exist solely to promote a business, and is not an authoritative academic resource, doesn't meet our reliable sourcing guidelines.
"One More thing that there are some other external links that are also violating the Wikipedia policy and they also done the same thing. So will you delete it too." I don't know what specific links you are noting as problematic, but I remove problematic links all the time, as is evident from my removal of the one you submitted. Hello Sir, I really want to contribut to wikipedia. I've just applied to hindi language support. But don't know why my application is not accepted. May you help me out to resolve this. Sauravkmwt (talk) 17:27, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand your question. If you're talking about the application you made here, I know nothing about that. Whatever your specific question is, you might consider asking at [2]. However, considering it looks like you applied today, you should probably just wait patiently for a few days. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:50, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
