Cillian Murphy

[edit]

So prove it because the current name, Aran, has a citation from an interview with him. We need to have questionable statement verified by providing a reliable published source which you have not given. More exclamation marks do not verify anything. In fact you merely changed the name but left the citation which now verifies the opposite to your edit. ww2censor (talk) 13:05, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!
Several places I read Cillian Murphy's sons names were Malarchy and Carrick. In blogs and here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0614165/bio. But if you have heard Cillian say, the name is the Asian name, Aran, instead of the Irish, Carrick, prove it. Maybe you heard wrong?
Best wishes. Savanne78 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Savanne78 (talkcontribs) 12:03, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed you can read different source but did you bother to read the citation which comes from an interview with Cillian. There, an Irish newspaper, it clearly states his son's name is Aran, so the onus is on you to prove otherwise. Your use of IMDb, which can be edited by anyone, is not always reliable. Provide some better source for consideration. ww2censor (talk) 21:48, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And now there is another reliable Irish newspaper citation, written by a journalist I have known, that supports Aran: see https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/people/persevere-and-keep-having-a-laugh-actor-cillian-murphy-tells-youth-groups-in-galway-1.1676965 If long standing Irish journalists don't know his son's proper name, then who does? ww2censor (talk) 11:44, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
