Mindaugas

[edit]

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well. I’ve noticed you recently deleted my contributions to the article about Mindaugas, specifically you deleted:

“By 1248, Mindaugas had entered into a political union with the wealthiest Eastern Slavic city-state of Navagradak, which incorporated cities of Slonim and Vawkavysk, and possibly Hrodna (all cities located on the territory of the present day Belarus). The year of 1248 can be considered as the beginning of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, with Navagradak as its first capital.”

Also, I provided a reference to the source:

Краўцэвіч, Аляксандр. Міндаўг. Пачатак вялікага гаспадарства (PDF). p. 22-24. https://kamunikat.org/mindawg-krawtsevich-ales

Please advise what seems to be the problem.

Reference to Wielkopolska Chronicle deleted

[edit]

Hello,

I also see you deleted my 2 other contributions:

1) reference to Wielkopolska Chronicle:

Wielkopolska Chronicle describes Mindaugas (Latin: Mendolphus) as a ruthless rex of Prussia, who, in 1260, withdrew from the Christian faith and obliterated Mazovian city Płock and Prussia committing a great slaughter among the Christian people.[1]

You may want to read paragraphs 132-133 on page 586:

https://kpbc.umk.pl/dlibra/publication/10066/edition/17159/content

2) reference to the work of Mykhailo Hrushevsky:

“For the first time, Mindaugas is mentioned in Galician–Volhynian Chronicle at the end of 1219 [2] under the name of Мидогъ together with his brother Dausprungas, as the fourth out of five senior Lithuanian dukes that together with other 16 Lithuanian dukes entered into a peace treaty with Galicia–Volhynia dukes Daniel of Galicia and Vasylko Romanovych

Why did you do that?
