Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Jean-Pierre Rampal, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Graham87 14:52, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I like him a lot too, but we don't usually add links to major places like that. Graham87 14:52, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also re your edit to Crane Melon]], we can't use blogs as sources because they're user-generated; see the reliable sources guideline. Graham87 14:58, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Graham87! Still new and trying to learn the ropes on Wikipedia. It's unlike editing I've done IRL. But I like learning so it's kind of fun.
Thanks for the tips and the helpful links!

Oh, and do I need to undo any of these edits?

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:SchellmaNator/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:21, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimfbleak, you blocked my account today and it appears it's because of some testing I was doing within my sandbox page. Is that correct? It was my understanding that the Sandbox was used for testing features and wasn't a full fledged article page. I'm not sure how to test features if my sandbox isn't where I should do that. Can you show me the correct page or direct me to an informational page where I learn more? I went through the best practices flow within Wikipedia for building a page and everything directed me to my sandbox to start. It's not clear why I was fully blocked for using my sandbox. My account has only done small edits to some pages and I was wanting to learn more about how things are built within Wiki. My college degree is in website design, so the backend coding of the pages and features is very interesting to me. I apologize if I did something wrong, but would love the opportunity to fix it instead of being completely banned. Thank you. SchellmaNator (talk) 14:34, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
