You probably know that Wikipedia's best articles become Featured Articles. But did you know that a similar process exists for images? Go to Featured Picture Candidates to help judge which images are both attractive and valuable to Wikipedia. Of course, the best can be found on Featured pictures. Many of these photos are taken by Wikipedians. If you are a photographer, you can add yourself to the list, or encourage others by nominating great photos you come across. Feel free to use featured pictures in your own works (according to the terms on the image description page).

Hi,

I notice you've been adding interlanguage links to some articles (e.g. Constellation diagram). However, there's no need to add links to articles that don't yet exist on the target wiki, so I've removed them. See H:ILL#Links to pages that do not exist. Oli Filth 19:10, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense of W-transform

[edit]
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on W-transform, by Oli Filth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because W-transform provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting W-transform, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:57, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

W-transform

[edit]

W-transform wasn't deleted because it was a stub. It was deleted because it had absolutely no context and very little content.-Wafulz 12:40, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MiWi

[edit]

The article MiWi has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:37, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Centre de ressources et d’information sur les multimédias pour l’enseignement supérieur, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator talk 09:50, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Xcas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable software. Five years of existence and still no independent sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
