January 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm AssumeGoodWraith. This is a notice to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Cupar Castle were reverted. Read the notability policy.AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 02:37, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have read the notability policy. Please explain why and what else is needed. I added substantial information and numerous citations which are more than many such entries have. What else is needed? My understanding is that these are not intended to be permanent but just to be in place until the issue is fixed. I believe I did fix the listed issues. ScotHistMaven (talk) 02:45, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You did not add any citations. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 02:46, 14 January 2022 (UTC

I see I only added one, the one by Michael Penman. I can certainly add more if you like. I also added the information about the buildings that are now located where the hill is and information about the Wishart siege. I will find a citation about it being taken by William Douglas. You know this kind of hostility when someone is trying to help is why people hesitate to become involved in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScotHistMaven (talkcontribs)

Still, in the only edit that you made to the page, there were no citations added.
And how am I being hostile? – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 03:05, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well calling me a liar is rather hostile and I DID add that Penman citation. I will say no more tonight because after your insults I need to cool off.ScotHistMaven (talk) 03:08, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Insults? Come on. Where did I insult you? I reverted your edit that removed the tags because you just did not add any citations. The one you mentioned was added in December 30 by this IP.AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 03:12, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, calling me a liar when I said I had added a citation, which I did, is an insult. The tags DO need to be removed. They are not supposed to be permanent and the issues have been resolved, but keep them. I will continue trying to improve the entries instead of arguing with you.
