Avatar: The Last Airbender episode merging disscussion

[edit]

Currently, due to complaints about the separate episode articles not being in compliance with WP:EPISODE, the articles are all currently being merged into combined articles, separated by book instead of episode. The current snadbox for the merging can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Avatar: The Last Airbender/season 1. To discuss or give ideas that will help, leave a message on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Avatar: The Last Airbender/season 1 or on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Avatar: The Last Airbender#Episode merging project. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Placebo Effect (talkcontribs) 20:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aang article

[edit]

I have to ask, why are you delinking terms and wiki-linking the episodes (which are redirects) [1]? You may respond on your talk page, as I am watching it. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 19:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh oh! Do you mean adding in the [ ] brackets for "in so-and-so-episode"? Ahh shit. I momentarily forgot about the episode merge, sorry. I had been editing the plot overview section since before the merge so for a moment I forgot they lead to the season page now. I'm not sure about delinking terms. You need to give examples of what I allegedly did. I never remove [ and ] from articles. I either remove the sentence if I feel they don't belong or leave it as is.--Secretss (talk) 12:34, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Aang Article Needs You...

[edit]

...To support it on its nomination at Wikipedia:Article Collaboration and Improvement Drive. I would really appreciate it if you voice your support for the article so it does not get delisted from the nomination page. Here is a smile to brighten up your day and hopefully put you in a mood good enough to show your support.

Smile

[edit]

Your on Candid Camera. I smile at those who smile.

You helped choose Aang as this week's WP:ACID winner

[edit]
Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week Aang was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

Discussion

[edit]

Just as a notice, there is an important discussion going on at Talk:List of Avatar: The Last Airbender secondary recurring characters/Qualifications about which characters in the List of Avatar: The Last Airbender secondary recurring characters article are notable enough to be included. There are currently only three people participating, and it would be appreciated if you made a comment or two in order to help determine consensus. Thanks. 00:24, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

RE:Hi

[edit]

I thought your name was familiar. One thing you might notice is that as you get involved in more areas, you start to see the same user frequently. I can't tell you how often I used to encounter User:The Placebo Effect, at Avatar, then Ben 10, and then Comics. You'd be surprised. Well, hope to see you around. Fair use rationale for Image:UBXlovezuko.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:UBXlovezuko.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Project FMF (talk) 17:19, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source for Image:UBXlovezuko.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:UBXlovezuko.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:21, 26 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Survey

[edit]

Hi Secretss!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
