Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Anushka Sharma. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 07:44, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your continous fanboy edits, I'm trying to take it to GA Status. Thanks to your edits, it now fails the "stability" criteria to become a GA. I just request you to stop editing it for a while. -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 7:17, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Anushka Sharma

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Anushka Sharma you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Your GA nomination of Anushka Sharma

[edit]

The article Anushka Sharma you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Anushka Sharma for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Good news!!

[edit]

Since you have also been involved with Anushka Sharma's article. I thought I should share this news with you that her article has passed, and is now a Good Article. It means its one of Wikipedia's decent works.(You can see the green Icon on top right of the article) Congrats to you too. -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:45, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Ranbir Kapoor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rockstar. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Heyy

[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to ask you about the date mentioned on Ms. Sharma's article, which says as of september 2015, she is in a relationship with kohli. But kohli confirmed about their relationship in November last year, per this earlier source. So, It might create some confusion regarding the time. What do you say? -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 06:07, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but the 'as of' thing is applicable for stuff that are bound to change real quickly, acc. to WP:CURRENTLY, so I thought maybe bringing the timeline up to date would be good? I don't know. If you want to keep the previous link, it's fine. -- Semanti Paul (talk) 10:12, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Na, Its okay. -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:01, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, why don't you sign your posts properly? as its explained above. -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:41, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
lol. There we go. -- Semanti Paul (talk) 14:38, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Now its good :) -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 15:05, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Have you seen this? [1] -- Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:15, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'll watch it regardless of the reviews. :) Huge RK and Imtiaz fan. How about you? -- Semanti Paul (talk) 05:42, 25 September 2015 (UTC)--[reply]
Same here. The trailer looks different, as you can expect from a Imtiaz Ali film. But I thought It would be more like Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani. Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:49, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I watched the painful Bombay Velvet in theatre, just because of everyone involved with the film, Ranbir, Anushka and Anurag. Hope this film will break Ranbir Kapoor's string of financial failures. Yashthepunisher (talk) 05:53, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Tbh, I really don't think Bombay Velvet was THAT bad. I mean, it was average. It had its high and low points. There was a great story in it which got lost. Yes, Ranbir really needs a hit now lol. Re: Tamasha, a lot of people are saying it's like YJHD, but the last line, "Tujhe toh pyaar ho gaya hai pagli...par kisi aur se"...? I think it means that Deepika's character falls in love with the Ved in Corsica, but that is not the real Ved. Imtiaz is an intelligent director, I'm sure he'll give us something new. -- Semanti Paul (talk) 06:00, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it was average, but I didn't expected an average film from Anurag Kashyap. Performance-wise, it was excellent. Tamasha, on the other hand looks quite mysterious, but I'm sure it will be worth watching. :) Maybe he has a double-role in the film and she falls in love with one of them, Who know!! Yashthepunisher (talk) 06:21, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Which films have you seen this year? Piku, NH10, Dil Dhadakne Do TWM Returns? Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:39, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from TWMR, all of the ones you mentioned above. Also watched Badlapur, Baby, Margarita with a Straw, ABCD 2 and Bombay Velvet of course. Planning to watch TWMR, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bahubali and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Drishyam also maybe. How about you? -- Semanti Paul (talk) 17:15, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen every film you mentioned except Bajrangi Bhaijan and Drishyum. Watch TWMR asap, its way better than it's first part and of course the epic Baahubali. Which one are your favourite's from this year?? Mine is every film except for Badlapur, I couldn't handle the constant misogyny. Yashthepunisher (talk) 17:35, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
BTW I'm trying to take Shreya Ghoshal to GA status. She is one of my favourite among the contemporaries. Hope it will also pass:) Yashthepunisher (talk) 17:38, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Badlapur reminded me of Korean dramas, something I like watching. :) My favourites are Piku, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and NH10. Shreya is great, good luck with that. I am working on Ranbir Kapoor's awards, with plans for FL status. Progress is slow, however. Hardly getting the time. And I will create Bhumi Pednekar's page. She does not have one yet. -- Semanti Paul (talk) 14:36, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah everyone has there own taste.:) I'll try to help you with the list, and Bhumi Pednekar's page used to exist, but was deleted because of few editor's who thought It wasn't notable enough and didn't meet the guidelines. Good luck to you too. Yashthepunisher (talk) 15:12, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Box Office India

[edit]

It seems like you are replacing other sources with BOI at Tamasha (film). This issue is currently being discussed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film/Indian_cinema_task_force#BO_of_all_BW_films. Wikipedia operates by evaluating sources as either reliable sources or not and while BoxOfficeIndia is considered a reliable source, it's considered one of many. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 04:33, 1 December 2015 (UTC) --I have checked the list of reliable sources and while Koimoi is not on the list, it is being extensively used on Tamasha (film).-- Semanti Paul (talk) 14:26, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January 2016

[edit]

Stop icon It has been found that you have been using one or more accounts abusively, have edited logged out to avoid scrutiny or have recruited friends, family or coworkers who share your point of view to support you (see the meatpuppet policy for more information). Please review the policy on acceptable alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts or people to support you should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. It is not acceptable to use two accounts on the same article, or the same topic area, unless they are publically and plainly disclosed on both your and the other account's userpage.

Your other account(s) have been blocked indefinitely. This is your only warning. If you repeat this behaviour you will blocked from editing without further notice. Thank you. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:26, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I'm really not sure what you're talking about. I haven't engaged in sockpuppetry, and I have no other accounts. So, I don't know what 'other accounts' have been blocked indefinitely. Just letting you know. Cheers!! Semanti Paul (talk) 15:45, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Technical data shows that you are editing from the same network as WikiBriefed and you are both promoting BOI as the only acceptable source for Bollywood movies. WP:MEATPUPPETRY is not allowed in Wikipedia, and you may be blocked if you continue that behavior. Vanjagenije (talk) 20:55, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I longer promote BOI, since it has been blocked. That was last year. and WikiBriefed and I are not the same person. Semanti Paul (talk) 04:09, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Semanti Paul (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have not been conducting sockpuppetry. Wikibriefed and I are not the same person. My IP address is 14.99.110.191. I have only promoted BOI once or twice, and that too over Koimoi and not other sources. I request you to review your block. Semanti Paul talk 06:26, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Accept reason:

After conferring with several administrators and checkusers, I have decided to unblock your account. As, it appears that the account you were suspected of being connected to (WikiBriefed) was not used by yourself. Therefore, I find that the sockpuppetry block was done in error.

However, please be aware that this unblock was done with the assumption that you will edit in strict accordance with our policies from here on out... and that you will be hopefully a net positive to this encyclopedia. Please, don't let our community down by being disruptive, or by continuing to promote BOI material on our site. Remember to always use the talk pages on articles, to establish a consensus, before making any potentially contentious edits. We work as a team here to build this encyclopedia, and I hope that you will be a good addition to it.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my talk page. Coffee // have a cup // beans // 11:41, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reviewing administrator comment: I'm placing this on hold pending a discussion between myself and Vanjagenije. The determination of this unblock request will be noted here as well as at UTRS (where a duplicate request has been made, with additional information provided). Crores issue

Bro before reverting lets talk in talk page. We Indians, atleast the majority of them who are ordinary people knws Indian system of crores. The billion million system will make confusion among them. Indian articles are mainly ment for indians. So why should we care about non indians?? Should use Indian system. Ambeinghari (talk) 16:27, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, "raked in" is not proper encyclopedic tone for an encyclopedia. We need to avoid film industry slang (and all sorts of slang) and write in a professional, neutral tone. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:23, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
