The Hall Of Flames(and misc. other stuff too ;-) )[edit]

What source are you using as your basis for saying Thomas Hennessy is staring as the corpsman/medic?

The role of the Navy Corpsman is a supporting role in this film, not a starring.

The starring roles would be those who play the Marines involved in the massacre.

Actually although I expanded on the documentry section I didn't add the information on Hennessy, I've never heard of him at all. That part was added by the ip editor who initially started the section(27 April 2007, 139.67.246.104). Personally I find it strange to be refering to "starring roles" at all before the programme has aired as the docudrama will be telling the story from several points of view including an insurgent, the families murdered and several of the US marines and it's unclear, at least from any sources I've seen, which of these characters, if any, could be considered the protaganist. I was going to wait a while and see if anyone found a citation for the Hennessy information as I was feeling a bit guilty for almost totally rewriting the origional contribution just after it had been added. But I've really got no objections to you deleting that information Elmo 01:57, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Hennessy is an unknown along with most of the cast. I have also heard from an unofficial source that in the end they only used 5-6 former marines and the rest were made up of unknown actors, some with other military experience some without. They have yet to release an official cast list on IMDB yet. There was a video posted on myspace.com by members of the marine cast featuring behind the scenes footage, and it listed many of the cast members names, but it is no longer available online. I would wait until a defintive cast list is published before editing cast info into the article. As far as the other storylines dealing with the Iraqi's, I haven't heard much. I think most of them were cast in Jordan, although I heard one may be a semi-known american actor/actress. Again not enough documented sources to really publish anything. Most of the info I have got has been from blogs and message boards etc...

The only updated news articles I could find is at http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117964201.html?categoryid=19&cs=1

Pomey wanker[edit]

G'day...just wanted to say hello....not really. I was wondering you would have the term "Semper Fidelis" in your name when it's obvious you are British? Why the need to misrepresent yourself? What's a matter? So ashamed of your own Navy after they bent over and took it in the arse from the Iranians that you now make yourself feel better by going after a unit that actually fights for a living. Figures....Yet another Pom ashamed of his own western civilisation. Would rather wax poetic, philosophise, piss, moan and sit around and wank himself then stand up and fight for anything. Actually it's not just the USMC that uses Semper Fidelis as it's motto, nor were they the first. please get over yourself. Also unfortunately I'm not British btw, just happen to be residing in the UK at the moment. SemperFideliS81 10:24, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature[edit]

Your signature "Elmo" doesn't contain a link to your user/talk pages, which makes it difficult to immediately identify your comments with your account, unless one consults the edit history. I'd like to kindly suggest changing it to something remotely resembling your username, ideally with an internal link to your user or talk page. See Wikipedia:Signatures for details. To be clear: According to the guidelines, you don't have to do so (and I'm in no way intending to "tell" you what to do!), it's just that it's "common practice to include a link to your user page or user talk page" and "common practice for a signature to resemble to some degree the username it represents". Best regards, —User:AldeBaer / User talk:AldeBaer 16:35, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh right thanks for telling me, I did it in a hurry and hadn't noticed that I didn't link it to the user page yet. I'm not changing it to my username though, it was my god-daughter who selected me a username(she got it from an old regimental flag behind my desk), and despite having served in the military I find all the military-fanboyism that goes on in wikipedia a bit repulsive so I'm trying to distance myself from anything too openly militaristic.
