{{adminhelp}} Hello Admin, well I am confused over a thing and so, I am seeking your advice on the same. Today, when I logged on to Wikipedia, then I saw a new message alert. I visited then it was written that a change made by my IP address was reverted(I did not log in with my user-id then). Then when I saw the details the change was made from my IP on 31st October 2011. At that time, I did not have internet connection with the present provider. How can I make a change then? Can I get in any legal problem for any malicious usage by any shared IP usage? My ISP is providing shared IPs.. Sentiments777 (talk) 05:37, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, don't worry, you are not responsible for what someone else does from a shared IP address. Just ignore those messages, but it's a good idea always to log on before editing. I am also on an ISP which uses dynamic addresses, so when I connect, before logging on, I too sometimes get messages about what someone else has done on that IP, but it is nothing to worry about.
I see you have been invited to theTeahouse, but you have not had any other Welcome message. As there are useful links in it, I will add one below. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:22, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have closed your RfA on the basis of WP:NOTNOW and WP:SNOW. Please don't take it personally; it's just that users with little experience or few edits (you currently have 39) are extremely unlikely to be promoted. If the RfA were left open, it would stand next to no chance of succeeding. To pass, a candidate typically needs to have been editing for six months (at the very least) and to have made several thousand edits.

Please don't be discouraged by this experience. Continue to edit articles and return to WP:RfA when you are ready. Best regards, SuperMarioMan ( talk ) 19:52, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
