If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Medical Design Excellence Award requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Medical Design Excellence Award article

[edit]

Hi... I removed the deletion notice from the article that you created. That doesn't mean that I completely agree that it should be in Wikipedia, but I think that it was tagged FAR too quickly. My belief is that editors should be given the opportunity to develop articles that have the potential to be notable. Thus, your article has a bit of a reprieve. If you are interested in developing the article, you should be aware that Wikipedia relies on notability as a benchmark for inclusion in the project. You should read the link above and see if you can find reliable references that will allow other editors to verify the information.

I think you might also want to look at this page: List Articles. These are articles that are substantially lists of things under a topic (examples:List_of_Academy_Award-winning_films, List_of_Nobel_laureates,List of state librarians of Ohio). Your article might be better suited as a "List article". If I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to let me know. Good luck! Wikipelli Talk 16:41, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wikipelli, thanks for your message. I'd be glad about any help with the article, especially with links and references. In my opinion, the Medical Design Excellence Award is an important institution and worth including into Wikipedia, but it's quite a lot of work to find refs and links for all the winners. I will put effort in completing this article though it may take some time. If you think this would be better a list article, then lets move/convert it. best regards Separis (talk) 07:17, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Separis, I just added the 2012 awards but I really don't know much about the awards to expand upon the article. Wikipedians want to know more about the history and how the contest started. Really anything that could expand the article would help. Minervaone (talk) 22:24, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Help Survey

[edit]

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

The file File:Schwind eye tech solutions Logo.svg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Equivalent media under a free license at Wikimedia Commons. Not F8 owing to the different licenses.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
