Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Hi there, Re: the revert of my recent addition to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., you claim this information was "covered in the body" and does not belong in the lede. Then it should be MOVED, not reverted. His latest claim is a brand NEW comspiracy theory that COVID-19 spared Jews and Chinese and targeted blacks and whites, which is shocking even beyond everything he has done before, and I think it DOES belong in the lede. Please take a closer look and consider restoring it.Harborsparrow (talk) 18:39, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi there, @Harborsparrow:. Re your addition, per WP:LEDE, content that is in the lede needs to be in the body - significant information should not appear in the lead if it is not covered in the remainder of the article. - so your suggestion of moving the information up to the top cannot be carried out. I know this is a new conspiracy theory, but we already cover his anti-scientific conspiracy theories, sharing of misinformation about COVID (such as what you added) and blatant lies about public health within the lede in great detail - in fact, such an emphasis is placed on this in the lede that some on the talk page have accused the editors of the page of being biased against Kennedy! (Which, of course, is a load of baloney, but I digress.) Anyway, I agree that it is indeed a shocking statement for Kennedy to make and I feel it should be included in the page (hell, I'm the editor who added it to the page yesterday!) but it doesn't feel due for the lede imo, much like we don't single out any of the other bizarre claims he's made over his long, long career of spreading misinformation.
If you're not satisfied with this response and still feel this should be included, do feel free to raise it at the article's talk page as other regular editors on the talk page will see it and can weigh in on it, rather than just me. Thanks for dropping by. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 18:53, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. I must have missed where you added it to the page. Best regards. Harborsparrow (talk) 19:22, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Ayotte

Thanks for pointing that out. I checked her official account and she has a "big announcement" in the "coming days" so I moved her to "announcement pending". MAINEiac4434 (talk) 17:23, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
