El Archivo

[edit]

Your contributions to articles

[edit]

Looking at your contributions, it is obvious you are not a native speaker of English. You may be more comfortable and productive editing at your native language Wikipedia. If you still want to edit on the English language Wikipedia, I strongly encourage you to use article talk pages to list your proposed change and wait for others to correct the grammar and wording. --NeilN talk to me 14:37, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I can do that for him if he wants me to. After he edits an article I can copy edit it if that's alright.Mirror Freak 14:41, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for continuing to help ...--SergiSmiler (talk) 15:33, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi MirrorFreak. Thanks for volunteering. Why doesn't he post his edits to your talk page so you can edit them before thousands of readers see them. You won't always be editing at the same time as Sergi and text like this shouldn't appear in articles, let alone a WP:GA. --NeilN talk to me 15:03, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

August 2014

[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Miley Cyrus. NeilN talk to me 15:30, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You've been blocked for disruption three times before. If you persist, I will be asking for an indefinite block until you agree not to add barely understandable content to articles. --NeilN talk to me 15:33, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at We Can't Stop shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Request reason:

Hi, I want to be locked because although was starting a small edit war, makes no sense. I put some time since the Spanish Wikipedia, well done, now go and deleted, and as I have said, rather than delete, correct it and you're done! Please remove the block if necessary ... I apologize, I'll put it on the talk page, but this makes no sense ... The same translation is not perfect, but can be corrected.--SergiSmiler (talk) 15:42, 25 August 2014 (UTC) ---- Hola, quiero ser bloqueado porque aunque se estaba iniciando una pequeña guerra de ediciones, no tiene ningún sentido.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. PhilKnight (talk) 18:38, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

"The same translation is not perfect, but can be corrected" No. That's not how that works. The article is a WP:GA and if you don't know how to do it correctly the first time then TAKE IT TO THE TALK PAGE. I honestly don't get how you don't understand that by now after all the times you have been talked to and been blocked for your editing. This is an English wikipedia and other editors shouldn't have to correct your edits if you don't know how to translate properly. LADY LOTUSTALK 15:45, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
MirrorFreak can you please explain to Sergi that he is not blocked but he can't expect other editors to fix his semi-intelligible additions to articles. WP:CIR is worth a read. "Many editors have focused so much on this tenet that they have come to believe that good faith is all that is required to be a useful contributor. Sadly, this is not the case at all. Competence is required as well. A mess created in a sincere effort to help is still a mess." and "If someone's native language is not English and they can't communicate in English well—including discussing things with other editors—consider trying to encourage them to edit a Wikipedia in their own language. Those other-language Wikipedias need help from editors, too." --NeilN talk to me 15:51, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. Don't worry, I'll translate for you guys.Mirror Freak 15:55, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This might be a dumb question but...why does he not just edit at the Spanish Wikipedia? Obviously that's his native language, why come here to edit if he can't speak it or translate properly? I get he's Cyrus fan but I don't go to the different language Wikipedias to edit on people I'm a fan of simply because I don't speak the language and I know that Google Translate isn't accurate. LADY LOTUSTALK 16:19, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You want to know because I work in the English Wikipedia? Because I'm a fan of Miley and want major Wikipedias are accurate and complete, because on more than one occasion I have seen that there are things missing or incomplete, my goal is to finish and complete help.--SergiSmiler (talk) 16:25, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But you're not helping, don't you see that? Which is what has led to you being indefinitely blocked. LADY LOTUSTALK 16:45, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for a combination of the proven lack of English competence and persistent edit-warring.. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Drmies (talk) 16:20, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Gracias. ---- Hello again ... very sorry all this, this was not what I wanted ... I'm so sorry, I just wanted for once Wikipedia reflect a beautiful act of humility by Miley for people to read these articles think of a way a bit more positive about it ... Again, please remove the block, blocked me right before he put it in the discussion page ... I fully understand that English is the problem seriously, but I do not think that is a valid enough reason as to block a person who only has good intentions, for something that is a community where we all need to help to make a reference site Wikipedia is reliable and valid internet about the war ... editing, and I apologize for repeating what above, I did not realize that warned me it was going to be blocked ... I'm sorry ... please remove the block, or at least put a deadline a few days, a week ... I'd rather be unlocked but I understand that my behavior has not been the best ... I hope you get to know from my point of view and reconsider ... Thanks.

Sorry, but your lack of English skills is a valid enough reason to block as you persisted in adding barely understandable content to articles. You were asked to have someone else do a proper translation before adding material to articles but you ignored that request. --NeilN talk to me 14:13, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
SSorry to tell you that I do not have to MirroFreak told that I can not translate my edits, indeed, already done twice before writing so look at the reality, and I repeat, the problem can be solved English NeilN.--SergiSmiler (talk) 14:21, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ya he pedido perdón!

--- Please !! Remove the lock! I feel terrible ... I did not realize ... I just saw that erased the edition because if I did not realize the mistake until after haver been blocked ... please, I'm sorry OhNoitsJamie...--SergiSmiler (talk) 15:48, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SergiSmiler, answer this. Why are you hell-bent on adding content in the "English Wikipedia", when more than three editors have declared your additions as problematic? You want to help, wonderful thought, but why don't you see that you are doing exactly the opposite? You are actually creating problem by not communicating in English, copy-pasting translations from Google to articles and refusal to co-operate. I sincerely believe that Miley's Spanish articles would benefit from your editing so please transfer your edits to the "Spanish Wikipedia". This block is more of a prevention against the WP:Competence that you ensued from your editing, and I believe this needs to be in place, sadly. And all these communications in Spanish in the talk page is also not helping guys. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 16:27, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
First, since I work in the Wikipedia in Spanish, it's more, I began to edit it, but this would looking at English because it has the best reputation, but I noticed that things were missing and was added slowly to be a returning user here. Now I just ask you to forgive me and remove the lock ... I'm very sad about all this ... I repeat, did not know I had been warned ... I get angry and react badly ... please, I'm too sick of both blocking promise of truth, my mother, I'll be more careful in the future ... --SergiSmiler (talk) 16:37, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) You say you are sorry every time you are blocked and that you won't do it again and that's exactly what you do. I've looked at your edits on the Spanish wikipedia and you've been blocked for disruptive editing on there to so it's not like the language barrier is the only problem, the problem is you just being a difficult editor who doesn't learn from their mistakes. LADY LOTUSTALK 16:32, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Lady Lotus, these problems are old ok? I've learned the operation of Wikipedia and I would appreciate you to stop myself as the worst user.--SergiSmiler (talk) 16:37, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Lady Lotus:, I had not checked the Spanish Wikipedia and his contributions before I suggested him to whole-heartedly devote time to the Spanish Wiki. If what you say is true that he has been disruptive there also, then I take back my comments. SergiSmiler, I don't think Wikipedia is a place for you. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 16:35, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
God !!!! Everything that's already old !! I changed !! and if I want to collaborate on Wikipedia can do it, only I need help because this is not necessary to block and ready, things can speak ...--SergiSmiler (talk) 16:38, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Indian, I don't think Wikipedia is a place for you. LADY LOTUSTALK 16:45, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bro, I stuck up for you. To me my friends and I have a mafia relationship. You don't tell lies, you don't disrespect. And you Sergie have officially disrespected me. Man, Why did you bring problems to the English Wikipedia? Just because you couldn't continue them at the Spanish one?Mirror Freak 16:40, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:IndianBio, this is his talk page for his Spanish wiki account, https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usuario_Discusi%C3%B3n:SergiSmiler . Mirror Freak 16:43, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a lost case to me, he's not going to change. Oh well, let's move on anyways, I do not think any admin will unblock given the circumstances. At the end I think talk page access will also be revoked. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 16:46, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
